  1. Past hour
  2. I wonder what Manuel Margot is up to these days.
  3. Yesterday
  4. Top prospects? No, I agree. The Meltons and McGonigles? No way. But there are lower prospects that could be moved. How many 2nd base prospects do you need in the minors? And dont forget, most prospects never make it. But our top 10 prospects? Mostly untouchable, i agree.
  5. Oh man, it's going to be Zach Lavine isn't it?
  6. I can’t wait until would’of, could’of, should’of makes it big time.
  7. Got an 11 mile bike ride in. My shirt was half drenched by the end from sweat. No rain. Jumped in the shower, got out, and now it’s pouring on there. Good timing, I guess.
  8. Estimated first pitch 8:30.
  9. You are the empiricist here. Going into the same on Sept 1, 2025, they were 22 over, and 18 of that was games started by Mize and Skubal, the rest of staff combined was 4 over. The numbers are what they are. When those guys pitched they won, when they didn't, they were barely 500. That's data, i'm just the messenger. 😉
  10. Are you actually concluding that the entirety of our positive record at the time was due to two guys and their win-loss record? Yeah, no sale.
  11. We are simply not in a position where emptying out the top of our system for a couple of guys will get us a ring. If things go as planned we will be at some point. Just not right now.
  12. yeah, I hear that, but all of that margin over 500 was games started by Mize and Skubal. Take those two guys out at the end of this year and you have a huge void to fill. Maybe Melton/Jobe/Olsen can be their equal, but it's not accurate to say we can just add *from* the point we were at in July of 25 because there are major losses almost certainly coming from where that team was.
  13. Sneaky good. I knew he’s been improving but I didn’t know he was this.
  14. works for some things - but certainly not all. If you want a good fish dinner the buyer is way more important than the cook! 😉
  15. Goofballs. Giggling morons. But...she does have nice gams. 😝🤪
  16. while the saying is apparently not true that the Chinese ideograph for 'crisis' is 'danger' plus 'opportunity', it applies in this case. The Wings are in a stuck place, Yzerman needs a deep move that can make a bigger impact on the roster than anything on the horizon. Heck - a major move for young talent make so much sense for the Wings, maybe Yzerman should have been playing 4 dimensional chess trying to get Larking to ask to be traded.
  17. Now the sun is kind of shining in Dearborn and it's Florida-muggy.
  18. It would likely cost me a license because of my eyesight, but the driving standards need to be strengthened - a lot. There are too many people that really don't have any idea what they are doing behind the wheel. Even folks who are not on their phones. People can't merge anymore. If someone is unfamiliar with where they are - they stop in the middle of the road. And slow drivers. I don't get it, but the slow driver thing is getting worse and worse. I take Van Born all the way to Merriman now (because of the 94 construction) and the speed limil is 45 and then 50, but people routinely drive 30. I don't get it. No awareness at all. Then you add the phone addicts and it's worse. Can't put it down for 10 minutes to drive. They'll die if they don't text every waking minute.
  19. you wimp. just kidding. What I remember about the hot, dry Summer of '88 was grass fires along the freeways from discarded cigarettes. Another reason smoking sucks.
  20. It's pouring here in Dearborn right now and it looks like it's headed straight for downtown........ but as Bill said in Twister (the movie that if you copied what the storm chasers did, you'd likely die). IT'S ALREADY HERE..........EVERYONE GET DOWN !
  21. One of my favorite things ever is when Matty refused to finish the connection from his bridge to I-75 over a tantrum about the new bridge. He was court-ordered to finish it and ignored it and they threw his old ass in jail. He walked into court laughing and when the judge lowered the boom he looked like he was going to cry. "But he's too old for jail" said his lawyer. Judge said, he looks healthy to me. Then the court ordered the government to hire a contractor to finish it (at a much higher cost) and made Matty pay for it. Before it was finished Semis had to cut through neighborhoods to get to the bridge. There would be Semis lined up on those residential streets, making noise and stinking up the whole area, but hey, it's just Mexican people, so screw them, right?
  22. lucky. we're getting high 90s this weekend in Portland.
  23. Right now it’s not raining at the park but the employees are talking about them evacuating the stands for shelter in place. Dunno if this one is happening
  24. Guess Donny couldn't stop it. Threated to block it the day after the Moroun family gave him a million bucks. He probaby wanted his name on it as a condition. Anyway, the Gord opens on Monday. And honestly, I don't care if it costs five times more to cross The Gord than the Ambassador, I am never going on the Mouroun's ****ing bridge again. June 15th. The Gordie Howe Bridge opens to the public June 16th:
  25. Sure - It's true Chris I and Yzerman go back a long way, a lot further than most but even that will only go so far. Teams that lose are a big ego downer for billionaires.
