Can't wait to hear Harris' spin. He played a role in the Giants winning 107 in 2021 where most players played above their baseline. 2022 they came back to earth with 81 wins. 2023 78 wins. I think Det is far below baseline to even out late 2024 through mid 2025. They'll get on a streak, and I think they'll end up above Minnesota. But that's it

Last  year's Trade Deadline.    To come away with Charlie Morton and Chris Paddack and whomever that injured stiff from Cleveland was,  Paul something,  Was it Sewald?  Did we even get 5 inning out of him?     That showed me that the team was more interested in filling the Illitch family parking lots downtown than they were in actually winning.

The the Pistons do the same crap.   Great season - pickup up a stiff at the deadline who contributes nothing

Guess I'll have to savor that 2008 Stanley Cup for a lot longer.

All the botched plays for Baltimore and they still figure out to win.  Even when other teams fall apart defensively they can overcome it.

They didn't figure out how to win.   We figured out how to lose.

So we just activated Melton and DFAd Seabold.  Why Seabold, one of the guys who has been competent?  Why not De Jesus?  Why not Vanasco or SGL?

Because Reasons.

Why are Short and Jones on this team?   Reasons.

So Short can bat in these situations:

  • 2910596.png?width=170J. Rogers: Ball, Ball, Strike looking, Strike looking, Ball, Ball, Rogers walked, Vierling to third, Torkelson to second
  • Dietrich Enns relieved Keegan Akin
  • 2747494.png?width=170Z. Short: Strike looking, Strike swinging, Short flied out to deep right

"When healthy, Seabold has been pretty effective coming out of the pen, with a 3.45 ERA, 20.3% strikeout rate, and 7.2% walk rate over 15 2/3 innings."

Most of you people, on this message board, disagree with the majority of my post, but Scott Harris and AJ Hinch should both be fired. The ownership and management of this team is disgusting?

Why Hinch give the man some talent

Hinch doesn't want any talent in the first place.  He wants to show he can win with scrubs so he can back up his belief that he is the smartest manager in the history of baseball.

I think he needs garbage can lids

You think we'll win 62 games? 62-100? Well on our way. A finish of 42-67? We're 20-33 now...
