It's pouring here in Dearborn right now and it looks like it's headed straight for downtown........

but as Bill said in Twister  (the movie that if you copied what the storm chasers did, you'd likely die).

IT'S ALREADY HERE..........EVERYONE GET DOWN !

Aug of 88 was an especially hot summer. I remember it well.  I played baseball in a travel league and also had soccer practices that started in mid august. It was rough. I had a paper route and recall one day with the headline “104” which was the temp the day before

you wimp.

just kidding.

What I remember about the hot, dry Summer of '88 was grass fires along the freeways from discarded cigarettes.   Another reason smoking sucks.

Got an 11 mile bike ride in.  My shirt was half drenched by the end from sweat.  No rain.  Jumped in the shower, got out, and now it’s pouring on there.  Good timing, I guess.

Two things. First, Dirks is over-the-moon thrilled that his McGonigoogles comment has taken hold (as he should be). Second, the Petry version they showed during the broadcast was pathetic. No wonder Andy, Jason and Daniella don't invite him to do fun things.

I can’t wait until would’of, could’of, should’of makes it big time.

In hot weather on the bike I usually don't care if *I* get rained on, but I always hate having the bike get wet.

Anyway I've been lazy this week, I sort of/maybe/minor tweaked by back and I'm being super careful with it for a few days. Got out three times last week though.

They just showed a stat of which Tiger has the franchise record for walkoffs. Lou Whitaker had 19, franchise leader. Over a couple of Hall of Faners, Greenberg and Kaline. Lou belongs in Cooperstown.

I think I was at 3 of them.  I remember one, in the early 90s, where everyone stood back for Tram to fist bump him first, then he ducked away and everyone else mobbed him.
