IdahoBert Posted July 5 Posted July 5 I don’t care yet I’m glad for the players, but I basically despise the All-Star game. The idea of deciding a tie by a HR Derby - OF WHO HASN’T YET CHANGED INTO STREET CLOTHES - was the final straw for me. And yes, I used all caps on purpose. 1 Quote

Especially the first timers. Indeed, it is. I just remember when the All-Star game was a big deal. Aside from the World Series and spring training it was the only time the leagues met. IdahoBert Posted July 5 Posted July 5 I am indeed happy that our guys were named to the All-Star squad. But I concur in not particularly wanting any of our pitchers to participate and it turns out none of our pitchers are going anyway, which is good. Quote

4hzglory Posted July 5 Posted July 5 Remember opening week when DeLauter was the hot rookie with so many HRs. He just hit his 8th today, now back to 1 up on McGonigle. Through 1st half and f season, McGonigle is definitely in the driver’s seat for ROY. He’s just been so consistent. 1 Quote

But as for Cleveland, you mention DeLauter as their hot rookie, and yet, he’s not even their best rookie. Quote
