"President Trump" is a gift to certain types of criminals and maniacs who can simply insinuate themselves into a government of fellow travelers in order to melt into society presumably unnoticed. It's the ultimate reputation laundering. Quote
romad1 Posted May 29 Posted May 29 I'll bet if one was in an ICE detention center or fighting off a weaponized DOJ investigation it would be harder to pay for cancer treatments. 1 Quote

Yeah, I'll be thinking of that when my brother is calling me about Lions free agent moves instead of killing time at the movies this week because Aetna had to recoup his co-pay for his kidney dialysis 2 Quote
GalagaGuy Posted May 29 Posted May 29 Trump is taking bribes in exchange for pardons, using the DOJ to go after his enemies and ordering the Pentagon to give loans to his spawn and people are still laser focused on a dead kid fu**er. This country is toast. 1 Quote
romad1 Posted May 31 Posted May 31 Rory Stewart makes his youngest child's case for a sealed indictment of Trump by a foreign country for war crimes and corruption. Rory was the author of an outstanding book about walking across Afghanistan and was a Conservative MP in the northern border of England. Probably was British SIS from all the peripheral information I have about him. Quote

romad1 Posted Monday at 11:59 AM Posted Monday at 11:59 AM (edited) Was at the Cappies last night --the DMV high school theater awards show. I would not normally be so close to the sun of that theater culture besides attending my daughter's performances. Was within a few blocks of the WH at the DAR Constitution Hall. I recall the scene in Miracle which reflected the feeling of the United States in the 1980 Winter Olympics where they were noting how the success of the USA Hockey team was feeding a need in the public after Watergate, after the various economic shocks of the post-Vietnam period. That crowd last night was definitely looking for its version of the USA hockey team. So, about mid-way through one of the presenters noted that the event was not at its usual location (The Kennedy Center) for a reason and the crowd knew immediately what he was talking about and roared like hell. After that the kids who came up were throwing out "No ICE" and other gems. AI and the barons who run it were another target for sure. Who knows if the rest of the mother-lovin country is where this very liberal, very gay audience was at. I know for the rest of the night it was feeding a need they felt. That crowd would have stormed the WH in their ball gowns and rented tuxes if someone had told them to. Edited Monday at 11:59 AM by romad1 Quote
