chasfh Posted September 28 Posted September 28 And here is your schedule for the upcoming Wild Card series: Quote
oblong Posted September 28 Posted September 28 I love the first few rounds. I know some don’t like the extra teams but I like baseball all day long. 1 Quote
chasfh Posted September 29 Author Posted September 29 Mauricio Dubon with the double off Luzardo. 👀 Quote
IdahoBert Posted September 29 Posted September 29 Having personally confessed a disinterest in postseason baseball when my club is not involved, I am being forced to watch it today. I’m pet sitting for the afternoon for a family member and their TV is on to entertain the dog. Their TV set up is so complicated - to me at least - because they have three remotes so I don’t know what to do so I have to watch the Phillies play the Braves or I have to leave the room. In general, I dislike the Braves less than the Phillies. Go Atlanta… Sorta… Quote
IdahoBert Posted September 29 Posted September 29 I must not be much of a baseball fan because I never knew that Chris Sale had never shaken off a catcher in his life. Quote
chasfh Posted September 29 Author Posted September 29 (edited) Edmundo Sosa with the double for the Phillies. And off one of the best lefties in the game. 👀 Edited September 29 by chasfh Quote

oblong Posted September 29 Posted September 29 There’s a progressive commercial about all of that. Quote
oblong Posted September 29 Posted September 29 My cable system defaults to a 4K viewing but it’s very dark. I assume I could adjust my tv settings. I went to Peacock and it was the same thing. Quote
Sports_Freak Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Jason doing the NY/Boston game. No giggling allowed...lol Quote

IdahoBert Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Red Sox vs. Yankees… I guess I dislike the Yankees more than the ‘Sawx, but it just underlines the futility of caring about other teams… It’s kind of unwatchable. Quote
oblong Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Its like growing up and having the Iran/Iraq war going on…. Quote

As though the only problematic thing about any of it is a logo. 2 Quote
oblong Posted September 30 Posted September 30 They are problematic but the org hasn’t changed their names. Nobody made them do it other than market forces. There’s no governing body to decide such things. Cleveland and Washington organizations changed it on their own. Quote

Further evidence for my assertion that there is no job in broadcasting more thankless than calling baseball on national TV. Edited September 30 by guy incognito 1 Quote
