I look back on when Illitch brought in Devallano and then they drafted Yzerman. It took 13 years to win the cup. Granted, the organization was in much worse shape then than it was when Yzerman took over. Just hope it's not going to be 13 years to rebuild again.

I would hope to believe that Yzerman doesn't have to start all over again.

So tell me, what the hell happened?can't be just the Larkin injury.

It took the Red Wings 14 years after drafting Yzerman to win the cup. It took the Lions 67 years to get to this point. They're gonna be fine.

This is a weird group. Every night it's like Forest Gump's box of chocolates.

Kane is obviously not the player he once was, but once he gets in game shape he'll be better than half the guys on this team.

But, at the beginning of periods they don't seem to be  ready to play.

There just not good enough  to sustain a top level of play  for any sustained period of games.

Third periods are getting to be problematic

Why can't they play like this when the game starts? It's like this almost every game.

Today is Gates Brown day. On this day in 1968 Brown won both ends of a double header by hitting a pinch hit home run in the 14th inning of game one, then singling in the 9th inning to win game two to defeat Boston.

And here I thought that Yzerman had a huge job job in front of him.

I think this rebuild is going to take longer than first thought.
