I was born in 1945, I think. When this most recent rebuild started, I feared I wouldn't make it to a playoff team. Now, seven years later, I think it's even more unlikely this re-rebuild will preceed my death. This team is very, very hard to watch. I continue to watch though.

The draftees I have listed as unsigned are 12 Cole Stupp; 14 Joe Adametz; 18 Williams; 19 Albert Oliva; and 20 Drew Conover. Am I missing someone?

Does the rule allow stepping over the other side? That is, for the SS to stand across both lines toward the first baseman.

I read about Pridgen and it seems too good to be true.

If I'm reading the Tracker right, he was ranked 239 according to the MLB Pipeline.

"Great range for a 1B'man, and better arm than usual for the position... Great in-game power, but highly susceptible to swing-n-miss on sliders..."
He'll fit in well with this team.

We have a boatload of guys (pitchers) in MLB, or almost there, from the late rounds (for whatever reason):
Brieske, 2019, 27th round.
Garrett Hill, 2018, 26th round.
Chance Kirby, 2018, 25th round.
Brendan White, 2019, 26th round.
(Fernander and Chentouf in 2018, 35th & 36th rounds if either makes it to MLB as a reliever... not out of the question...).
Will Vest was a 12th in 2017, and we've also called up Drew Carlton, 2017 32nd rounder...
Who knows what the staying power is of any of these guys... but it's pretty remarkable, I think, to have this many late-round pitchers all of a sudden knocking at MLB's door, or already there... in the same time frame.
You put that together in 25 minutes. I'm impresed.

If you are among the faithful, what would it take to disbelieve in god?
If you are a non-believer, what would it take to make you flip.
For me, I don't understand why a god would make itself ambiguous He could predict the exact high and low temperature for 30 days iand and in 40 cities. 30s. I would find that convincing. He could construct the prediction in such a way that the chances of being insurmountable of being faked. Or clean out the children's hospital, by curing them all overnight.

Anyone know why Colt Keith left the Whitecaps game after getting on base? Hopefully not an injury...🥺
He apparently hurt himself diving back to first base. I can't find the tweet where I saw this.

Maybe he can be another Brennan Boesch.

The Dominican Summer League and the Florida Complex League start Jun 6th. It looks like the Tigers have two teams in the DSL and one in the FCL.

An update on my wife's lymphoma and chemo-
My post about her losing her hair was a false alarm. So far, she's good.
We've reached our $4,500 maximum, so we should be done with that. for the rest of the year.
I got my Moderna shot number 4 last week. My wife got a shot of Evosheld. This is designed for people with compromised immune systems. Instead of stimulating the body's immune system to produce antibodies, it just injects antibodies.
There were several other people in this thread whose family members were involved in chemo. I'd like to hear how you're doing.

Richmond's starter today against Erie is named Frisbee. Must have a helluva slider.
