I'm sure many of you are familiar with this story:
And, a couple questions come to mind. First...why is this even an issue? If it is something the Jays left on the field, isn't that "discoverable" material? I can see no evidence of wrongdoing. The Jays catcher screwed up, and let the consequences be what they may.
Second...why is this even an issue? Would the information thereon be proprietary? Seems like it would be information available through any of the common scouting sources, and in fact I would think most managers would want to know what the rest of the league considers to be your batters vulnerabilities...So they would be buying that information anyway
Unless I am wrong about the latter, this seems to be a story about nothing.

Well, it certainly appears that Victor heard my call today...4 for 4 so far with two RBIs

I think the trick to start the season in 2022 is to platoon Hill and Greene in CF and Daz and Baddoo in LF. Give Grossman an occasional break using the platooners. See what shakes out and go with the hot hand. Spend the FA money on a couple of familiar starters and a lefty for the pen. Extend Candelario. And no extended trips to the DL.
1. Hill/Greene CF
2. Schoop 2B
3. Grossman RF
4. Cabrera DH – spot start at 1B
5. Candy 3B
6. Torkelson 1B
7. Haase C
8. Krieder SS
9. Daz / Baddoo RFBench – Garneau (he has earned it) and the Castro brothers
Rotation - Mize, Skubal, Manning, JV, Scherzer
Pen – Alexander, Fulmer, Funkhouser, Soto, Cisnero, Wentz/Boyd, FA Lefty
This will sound foolish, but if they did go out and sign Justin and Max, I'd buy season tickets. I suspect, however, that my money is safe.
Otherwise, I like what you offer. I'm not quite ready to give up on Victor Reyes yet. He seems like someone with potential, if he can ever get his offense in gear.

More than .500 I would like them to catch Cleveland and finish in second place.
I agree with that. The Team has done far better that I expected out of them this season. If they managed to finish in second place, that would be redeeming.

And so today they plink Kiermaier in his last at bat. 'Water under the bridge', indeed.
