I am convinced that when these misspellings occur, they are intentionally virtue-signaling to their modestly-educated, unsophisticated, poorly-read constituency they are all on the same side, and people who make fun of them for “honest mistakes” like misspellings are despicable elitist jerks.
IOW, I don’t think the misspellings are accidental.
I am the least conspiracy minded person I know, but I am beginning to wonder how many of these memes/stories with misspellings in them are from overseas & are being built to divide us. I don't think DJT has an original bone in his body, nor idea in his brain.

I had made plans to take my son & a friend of his to a game that season, but ended up getting rear-ended on I-75 on our way to the game & missed it. I remember that night, though. I was working, driving around in our station van, listening to the game on the radio. I nearly ran off the road in tears when I heard the call on that Grand Slam.

For some reason when I see that 68 road uniform the player that I think of is Dick McAuliffe.
Lolich for me. That's probably because whenever that series is talked about or footage is shown, it's always Lolich making that final pitch.

Bush is the last GOP President still alive, other than you know who. That wing of the party is obsolete. It's up to the Christies, Rubios, Cruzs of the party and well.... outside of Christie wavering some, we know how that will go. The GOP is the party of Jim Jordan,MTG,Boehbert, Cawthorne.... they've rebuilt the party image from the ground up. The delegates at teh state level are revamping the state parties into the crazies. There's no room for decent people,by that I mean just normal right wingers. The country has room for people like Liz Cheney but the republicans today don't want her. We keep repeating ourselves but it's a cult.
It sure feel like that, even at the state level. This guy Marino sounds like a charmer.

I'm with you on that one!
I wonder if at any point there was serious consideration to trade the pick, or was Cade the choice all along, assuming no red flags were found.
I take Troy Weaver to be the kind of guy who will kick the tires on a few ideas before settling on one. I'd be surprised if it was "This is our guy" all along. You never know what someone will offer up. That said, I think they made the right move.

Uniwatch had a post today about the Tigers focus-grouping some throwback uniforms, including a 70s style road uniform and a 1968-style road uniform.
I would LOVE that!

I dunno... My DVR choose to record ESPN2 last night instead of ESPN, so I was stuck with the Mannings. It was interesting, and I think I'd have really enjoyed it if it wasn't a game was particular interested in. But I felt like I missed some of the game while they were busy talking about other stuff.
I can see that. I just grow tired of people heaping praise on people like Tony Romo, who is like nails on a chalkboard to me.

I have long been a George Will fan - but he will pry my "purse pants" from my cold, dead legs.

From what I have seen, the Manning Brothers is the best thing to happen to NFL telecasts since the "FoxBox"

I far too often fall hook-line-sinker for new regimes. I once said the Lions would win a Super Bowl under Matt Millen. I really believed in Bob Quinn - until I saw Matt Patricia. I have liked what I've seen of Campbell so far, but I would love anybody just to get Patricia out. I believe he may replace Hugh Campbell, formerly of the Houston Oilers, as the worst head coach in NFL history.

Not sure if they’re on Britbox, but you might want to check out Inspector Morse. Morse is based on a series of detective novels by Colin Dexter. I know Endeavour made it to PBS for a few seasons and may still be on Passport.
Cool .. Thanks! We're not really sold on Father Brown yet. We'll give it a few more before deciding.

We have a staff of 6. 2 people have already had Covid. 1 of the remaining weighs about 600 pounds & is on dozens of meds - I remain the only staff member to have gotten the vaccine.

Nothing would surprise me about him. I'm really beginning to wonder if a middle ground party will ever be able to win election again.

I kinda like this - After moving 3 years ago I lost about a year & a half worth of posting just getting into our new digs .. Now I'm within shouting distance of everybody!

Are there any plans to add College Sports threads, or did they become such a problem before that it's not worth the hassle?

My wife & I just finished Downton Abbey & went immediately into Doctor Thorne, just a 4 episode mini-series also done by Julian Fellows. We finally decided to pay for BritBox, so now we're starting Father Brown.

I was full on with term limits when they passed. I was wrong. It has been an unmitigated disaster in Michigan & I think would be even worse if ever adopted on a federal scale.
