    usually "now playing" on android catches it, but Shazam usually gets it if not. though I think there have been a couple times recently when Shazam didn't do it, either, which could be the session/generated stuff you suspect.

    huh, my phone picks up and recognizes a lot of the songs. but it does seem like they've considerably narrowed the catalague, now that you mention it, mostly metal stuff that I don't know and a RHCP song that I only recognize because it gets played there a lot.

    someone in a recent game thread suggested it would be around the end of the month. today on the radio they said he's running at full speed with no problems, so maybe he's about to get a rehab stint at Toledo or wherever.
