Some people are very upset over the Peacock thing. It's $6 a month, it's no big deal, but I think folks probably need to get used to the fact that free football on TV is probably going away within a decade. Can't do it so much with sports that have 80 - 162 games a year, but for those precious 12-18 games of football? Yeah, people will probably have to pay soon. Better get used to the idea. I know, it was depressing to hear about him taking his own life. He was really nice to everyone when we met him. He was honest about how tough the music business could be. They should have had way more than one hit in the U.S. It's something I have never understood. So many artists like that. The great Irish band Ash has a new album coming and on Under The Radar it will be Pick Of The Week and the show will have the theme "Hung Up At Customs", a bunch of great bands that just never broke through in the States. I won't include Big Country because they did have the one big hit, but "Fields of Fire" and "Look Away" should have been just as big. Our station played "The One I Love" from that album, but the song you posted, Seven Seas should have been the U.S. single. I think the label in the U.S. probably wanted the one that sounded the most like Pearl Jam or some other band. Everything had to sound like Pearl Jam after while......it's what killed the Alternative format.

I went to that show. Missed a bunch of AM because the Joe Louis Arena entry was a clusterbleep. Two doors open........that's it. Ask the folks in Cincinnati how well that strategy works.

He did me a favor once. Big Country came into our station in Georgia in 1993. We needed a couple of extra mics for their performance so I went into the Prod Studio and grabbed a mic, including the mic arm and I grabbed it where the springs are and got the palm of my hand stuck in the springs and it hurt like hell and folks were scrambling to find a screw driver and Stuart just walked up and said "sorry about this" put his hand on my shoulder and with his other hand just yanked it off my hand. It didn't hurt all that much when he did it. Not like I thought it would. He said "that's the only way it was coming off..........I've done it too". It left a bruise and he signed my bruise with a sharpie.

If security at the House hadn't done their job there would have been hundreds dead. Mike Pence would have been one of them. What I always found interesting is the fact that if you shoot someone 5 times but they survive , you get Attempted Murder, which is far less time in jail. Why? You should get a second chance because you missed or because the victim survived? I don't think blatant Attempted Murder should be much different than Murder. These folks absolutely would have killed people if they had gotten to them. They were absolutely crazy. And citing Mob Mentality is bull**** - YOU chose to be in the mob. It's like the "but I was drunk/high" excuse. You chose to get drunk, the resulting actions are 100% on you. I have been part of sports championship celebrations several times (not recently), I have never smashed a window or tried to overturn a car or set something on fire (R.I.P. Bubba). You have the choice of knowing when to walk away. Not everyone that demonstrated at the Capitol that day crossed the barricades and I don't think those folks should be in much trouble at all - they showed restraint and common sense. My fear is if a Republican wins in 2024, they will be pardoned on January 20, 2025.

We'll buy him Elba and he can live there and all his followers can go there too and play with their guns and openly hate on everyone not like them (they'll eventually start hating things about each other and turn on themselves). It'll be a reality show that makes Mama June & Honey Boo-Boo look like NOVA on PBS .

Also, people can make 3-D printed guns these days.............which is another level of insanity.

First of all...............Teaching a 4 year old "Gun Safety" by pointing the barrel against her chest and pulling the trigger? That's the story? No, I guess the lady was pissed and murdered a 4 year old for eating food without permission. Yep, that's a death penalty crime if I ever heard it. The girl was not with her parents because of a court order, so this poor child never really had a chance in life. It's so sad. Don't know why she wasn't with her parents, but I can speculate drugs had something to do with it. We're so lost. To me there is no such thing as "gun safety", since the very reason they exist is to kill people. Hard to be "safe" when the gun is being used for it's exact purpose. I hate guns so much. Saw Arctic Monkeys and Fontaines D.C. last night at Pine Knob. Packed house. I was just as into Fontaines as Monkeys, but today I am hurting. I mean, I am in SERIOUS pain today. All I did was go to a concert. There was no drinking. There was no wildness. **** aging..........

That is scary right there. A couple of things..................The guy didn't mean harm, and he's lucky Acuna kept his cool, because he could have faced a beat down from about 25 other guys. When the second guy non-violently knocked over Acuna he made sure to keep his feet in the air so he wouldn't spike anyone by accident. Tons of credit to that kid. A lot of other guys would have been swinging. Shooting at a game last week..............people running on the field now for a selfie........people are nuts. Have fun with the alcohol at a night game at Michigan vs. Michigan State this year. That oughta be fun. Drinking and clout-chasing are responsible for a lot of this nonsense.
