btw, the last time the tigers had two top 10 prospects, it was cameron maybin and andrew miller. that got us cabrera, but how did those guys turn out? one eventually turned into a top reliever after being a bust as a starter and the other was a fringe major leaguer for a decade who never lived up to his potential. would you trade greene and tork for juan soto?

i trust yzerman a lot more than avila. and in fairness, if the wings get as many injuries as the tigers, we'll be in for bedard. (and then end up drafting 7th)

but you dont have any reason why you think its better other than you want to think its better. there is only one person on this site that knows anything about prospects and that's micro. the rest of just look at box scores and twitter highlights. and that's great. were fans. but we dont know. i trust the people who do this for a living and their opinions on the tigers' players outside of the top 5 picks is that they are flawed and not likely to make it. you can say that about most franchises too. we just focus on detroit. its ok to have hope, but realize that's what it is: hope. that's all i have too. but i'm 50 and a lions fan so all my hope has been crushed into bitter disappointment that i transfer to every franchise other than the red wings. lol.

exactly. especially since the guys they have brought up to the majors have done poorly. these are young players who need time. give it to them.

too many good vibes for the lions. espn had their statistical projection for offensive lines up the other day. lions were ranked 26th. bears, headed by the amazing riley rieff, were 15th. im not a big lions homer, but i think that's cause for a re-evaluation of your algorithm.

i also assume the draft/development process was broken before. there seems to be a new one in place and it needs time to see if it can work.

why? you see how poorly it went for tork and now baddoo. you can call up and hope for a flash in the pan like baddoo last year or you can stick to your development plan for each player. we can rant and rave and vent on this site causr that's what this site is for, but i ASSUME they have a plan for each player. stick to it and dont say "fuck it, lets see what happens" just because the major league season has gone poorly.

when those guys get called up and do poorly, we will all pivot and say they should have kept them in triple a to get at bats like everyone did with tork and baddoo.
