Tigers and Yankees both have good pitching and run prevention. They just have more hitters who can do damage and work counts.
That was the difference this weekend.
In other words, a roster full of MLB hitters vs a roster full of mostly not MLB hitters.

Riley picked a fine day to cool off.
Tork finally with a couple doubles, and Riley decides to go full Tork

Just call the game, this Tigers team is bricked today anyway.

Wow, AJ hitting McKinstry over Andy "Miggy" Ibanez, is a bold strategy.
-
Quick, live bet Lange walking in a run here!

Who do you want in the BP instead?
Idk, but cant get much worse...that's pretty much the story with quite a few of the players on this team.

Lol at Tigers team OPS
-
Miller is one guy who can be done here.
-
This team is not fun to watch.
-
Yep, Miller's still a gascan
-
Ahhh, so this is what it's like to have professional 1-9 hitters.
-
Where does Bally get all this slurping of Ibanez talking like he's the second coming of Miggy? I dont get it...maybe I'm just out of the Ibanez being freaking awesome loop 🤷♂️

Javy tried to Harvy, but take an rbi the hard way

Greedy much? At least we have two
I was thinking to myself that Greene and maybe Canha would be the only bats that could play for the Yankees...whilst the Yankees 5-9 hitters would hit in the top 4 of this Tigers lineup...only hope Scott Harris noticed this chestnut as well.

Whelp, guess I'll go cleanse my palate and lick some dirty roof shingles for awhile, check back on game later
-
I'm envious of the Yankees and their MLB caliber 1-9 hitters
-
Whelp, that called strike one that was easily an outside ball on Vierling already got me pining for #robotumps only two hitters in

If that's the only way to change the lineup, I agree. No manager should ever be so stubborn to not making the necessary changes to get the most out of a lineup. The problem is, the Tigers will score 6 or 7 runs once a week or so and Hinch thinks he's justified. But he's not, just very stubborn. And then I hear people say it doesn't matter if we win or not, we're just evaluating young players. But it's hard to evaluate players unless you put them in the best position to succeed.
Perhaps AJ's arguably not doing enough to maximize the lineup, but any givem game he's got at least 3-4 blackhole batters that he has to strategize for...only so much a chef can cook with when 1/3 of his ingedients are poop.

What does Tork have to do to get benched? Attack a teammate? Slash Hinch's tires? Seriously...Torkelbust should be sent to Erie...do not pass Toledo...do not collect $200 million. Just....go away. Addition by subtraction.
The ONLY reason he's here is because he's a 1OA pick...and that's also the reason he's not in Toledo; imo, Harris and AJ both know if he goes to Toledo he'll suck there as well and his 1OA/mlb career will be officially bricked. I mean, what do they do with him if he goes to Toledo and has a negatibe WAR there?! He'd be done-zo.

I'm fine with Ibanez. He carries his weight.
True, but just the combo of Ibanez followed by two non-MLB caliber hitters is bad and feels bad.

Get Tork TF outta the old english D...he's a f*cking Mudhen until he proves he's not.

Wow, this ump is grade A, pure, uncut, unmitigated ass....like mlb need to look at this game tape and literally take him off home plate duty bad.
