    Yep, havent been a fan of Riley hitting leadoff precisely because he is the best hitter.  Maybe when Urshela comes back, he can hit leadoff, Canha 2nd, then Riley 3rd, that just seems optimal for him to have a better chance at driving in runs.

    Yeah, and with Torks WAR, half of the Mudhens roster would be just as good if not better...I mean, that's literally what WAR is.

    That may be true, but what if they send Tork down and he still sucks? They cant bring him back up in that case, which is bad for everyone...hot take, but I think Harris and AJ arent confident in Tork putting his game together in Toledo either.   Like it or not, he's gonna be up on Tigers until at least the all star break, Mendoza line and -0.7 WAR be damned.  1OA pick is ginna sink or swim up in the show.

    And that's why they wont send him down...if he still cant hit in Toledo, he's cooked, and the org has to pay the tab.  It's almost like they've decided if he's bricked, it may as well be in the bigs, but thats not really good for the team as whole.

    I'm leaning towards the opinion that the org is hesitant to send him down, because if he sucks in Toledo as well, then it's pretty much over for Tork and this org...I mean, if he cant hit there, then he's a bricked 1OA pick contract.

    I know it's been said ad nauseum, but if Tork can at least just start hitting some dongs/for power, that one thing could put a charge into the upward trajectory of this team in the div...man I hope he can turn it on soon.

    Well Tork literally has a lower WAR right now than 900 other players this season who are either in the league today, or who have been called up/sent down up to this point...no hyperbole, thats real.  I actually feel bad for him...I make fun of him as more of making fun of the org for forcing the issue and playing him in the bigs simply for being a 1OA pick.
