I was also confused on this part, The only thing that I can think of is that the pitchers for Minnesota didnt have enough appearances to be scouted and know their weak spots.

Should not take this team for granted. The Yankees were just swept by an inferior team. Need to sweep them.

today came down to three hard hit balls right at players. Just one of them would have tied the game.

And we roll over and play dead in the 9th. Took the starter out early, used the closer early as well. Error cost us the game. Disappointing all around.
