I understand and agree with you in a strategic point of view. It’s smart to take what the defense gives you. There there’s no sense denying that regardless of the level, inning, situation, etc… with that said, this doesn’t mean I have to like it. That’s where I’m at. I disagree with the guy’s choice and simply would’ve preferred him to attempt to beat Skubal in a more conventional way by swinging the bat. That’s just my preference and opinion. If I insinuated in any way that my preference is the right way or the only way, then I do apologize as that was not my intent.

Rely might be the sticking point here. The gentleman I was responding to said “with regularity,” which I swapped with rely. Regardless, I’m just not a fan of bunting outside of occasionally moving a runner. Just my opinion.

Ah too bad skubs. Heck of a performance tonight.

I’d prefer they’’d develop as a hitter enough to not rely on bunting, but that’s just me I suppose.

Baddoo, Mckinstry, Ibanez, and Short. 4 players who got way too many abs this year and I wouldn’t be upset in the slightest if they don’t get any next year.

Mckinstry gets the green light 3-0 with Tork on deck? Then gets easily thrown out trying to steal second. Somebody making dumb decisions.

Talent is one thing for sure but there’s little to no adjustments made. They just go out there and hack. I was encouraged when they took all those walks back and June, but that faded quickly and here we are 15 in a row sat down by this guy.

Yes that’s true. I just would like an even mediocre offense but these guys aren’t that. They are a tough team to watch at times with their terrible approaches and abs Hopefully next year we can put more that 2 or 3 acceptable hitters in our lineup.

Sheesh, I really wish we’d stop making mediocre pitchers look like cy young candidates.
