  1. It is okay to disagree, and we do. The Dodgers or Blue Jays (two huge spenders) would have embarrassed the Tigers. One more year of Skubal does not get us to the World Series next season in my opinion unless we sign an another top notch pitcher, a 3B and another slugger, not to mention additions to a tired bullpen. Do any of you really think Scott Harris is capable of getting this done? After next year, I think some of you will regret keeping Skubal for 1 season and getting only one 2029 or 2030 rostered player, if they make it that far. Regardless what happens I will be cheering on our Tigers.
  2. Wrong! With Jobe, McGonigle, Anderson, Clark, Olson, Melton, Bicerno, Hamm, Green, Torkelson, Dingler, free agent signings, and whatever prospects we get for Skubal (if he is traded) we will NOT go backwards!!! One more year only for Skubal and a prospect in 2030 is malpractice IMO and is more than likely what we are going to get.
  3. I am in 100% agreement that he should be traded if you get a front line pitching prospect , another top 15-20 MLB prospect , and a young controllable major leaguer (preferably a pitcher). However, I am expecting Harris to not trade Skubal, us to see the Skubal compensatory pick by 2029 or 2030 and the Tigers trajectory stunted.
  4. Scott Harris doesn’t have the kahuna’s to trade Skubal. Meaning Skubal will leave the Tigers for $400 + Million and we will get a compensatory pick in 2027 meaning the pick will not make the Tigers roster until 2029 at the very earliest. This is why I say trade him now and keep our trajectory going forward, get a top level pitching prospect in the trade, and hitting prospect, and sign a free agent starter and set us up for the he next several years. However, not gonna happen.
  5. Do not resign Flaherty. Hopefully, he opts out. He doesn’t have much left in the tank. Sign a good #2 free agent starter and a decent 4th or 5th starter.
  6. Do you get more for Skubal this winter or at the trade deadline? We all know the answer to this. Skubal is doing what he has to do and the Tigers need to do the same. Trade him this winter for a #2 starter, 3B, and top 10 prospect. The Tigers have multiple holes. Absolutely no way Tigers pay $40 million a year or that Skubal accepts $1 less than $40 million

  8. At 3B Bregman, Suarez, and Alec Bohm are free agents. Not confident Harris will swing again at a 3B. Keith is an option for 3B or 2B as is Max Anderson. Would love to see Anderson make the team with his solid right handed hitting. Somewhere, somehow, we need to add a big bat, starting pitcher, and 2-3 relievers (preferably someone who throws 100mph).
  9. If you trade Mize, you need to sign 2 free agents. I am not so sure they lose Mize. That would put us down 2 starters if you include Flaherty. You have to have someone replace those victories and innings. I do not have confidence in Harris paying 2 quality free agents.
  10. Looking ahead: Skubal, Olsen, Mize, Free Agent, Melton. Others: Montero, Urquidy, Jobe Gone: Hopefully Flaherty, Paddack Jobe should be back later in the season August? Urquidy is a veteran and only got into a couple games near the end of the season. With a full spring training and recovery he could be a valuable piece.
  11. It takes quite an EFFORT to come down to Detroit from Traverse City with my wife and 10 year old for a handful of games each season. Gas, lodging, food, tickets, souvenir's. I am seeing zero EFFORT by Scott Harris and the Tigers to improve our team. For this reason, we plan on staying closer to home and seeing our Traverse City Pit Spitters or a couple games with the West Michigan White Caps where we can come right home after the game.
  12. These FA predictions are ridiculous! Journalist keep throwing junk out there seeing if anything will stick with zero information and NO sources. Stop it! I want the Tigers to sign a couple/few FA or make a trade or two just like the next guy, but stop with the predictions with to evidence!!!
  13. Since then, Different Owner, GM, and Head Coach. Totally different hierarchy.
  14. I do not see the Tigers spending $20-$30 million on any one player. That is not their style. No Bregman.. No Santander. No Walker. However, their are still some options out there.
  15. That is incorrect. He has resisted any changes to his swing. Not sure about the lower body, but whatever he is doing or not doing is not working.
