I mentioned before but it's kinda funny how Avila seemed to get better returns out of his lesser deals than he did the big name players.

Aside from Olson for Norris, getting Willi Castro for Leonys Martin was a win considering the one good season Willi had and the fact he is still in the league,  Gipson-Lomg for Fulmer looks like it has the potential to be a win if he can come back healthy.

Then his best trade, getting Parades and Candelario for Justin Wilson and Alex Avila.

If as a major league GM you're getting hits here on there on minor trades while getting crushed on practically every major one, that doesn't acquit your legacy as well as you might hope.

It shows how meaningless the win-loss record is...Reese is 0-4. With a 2.70 ERA...

And Reese is doing it with a higher-than-average walk rate and lower-than-average strikeout rate. Giving up no bombs doesn't hurt, but quality of contact metrics has his xFIP at 4.02 and xFIP- at 102, because he gives up more hard hit balls than most, even more than Mize. So unless he tightens that up, he's going to slide down the rotation some.

My spreadsheet "2024 Toledo" tab, when I am able to keep it updated has recent Toledo Lineups.

Is your sheet not fully operable? I'm on the Toledo tab and I scroll right to look at additional dates and the names fly off the left side of the screen. It looks like you have Freeze Panes planted within it, so why is that not working for me? Or does it work only for you, the owner of the worksheet?

I wasn't asked to stop.    Everyone was asked if they agreed with a ceasefire between me and MotownBummers and I accepted the offer and gave the reasoning.   Bummers hasn't accepted it yet.

The war would end immediately if you were to simply lay down your weapons and release your hostages.

I'm open to the idea that he does indeed have some kind of brain damage and his mental congnition and function are detiorated and altered.... kind of like an old NFL quarterback or NHL brawler.  But that's when the family steps in and prevents him from being taken advantage of.

I would assume he has a phalanx of sycophants surrounding him to protect the political asset that is RFK Jr. from being undermined by threats like his family and large swaths of the media.

  6. Behold, America: your future, if you allow it.

Of course, given the strain of anti-intellectualism that runs rife in this country, probably most people won't see this as a bad thing at all. This affects only the elites who I hate anyway, so this would be quite acceptable, even some moderate-by-American-standards people would think.

Ms. Daniels has said they ate dinner in his room and talked, and he asked her about the porn business. [Trump] asked her to sign one of her movie DVDs, and said she reminded him of his daughter.

Then, she says, he told her she should be on “The Apprentice,” his reality show. Ms. Daniels says she scoffed at the idea that a porn star could be on the show, but he insisted he could make it happen. Mr. Trump’s lawyers have said that they intend to argue that Mr. Trump’s interactions with Ms. Daniels concerned only her possible appearance on the show.

After she went to the bathroom, Ms. Daniels has said, she emerged and found him on the bed, and they had sex.

We're in the Greene and Skubal era of the build. You have to add to this and not subtract because some guys haven't developed.

I totally agree that we need more good young players alongside Riley and Skubal, but I don't think we should be trading 2024-25 in exchange for 2027-29. I think need players for 2025, at the very least, if not 2024. And even guys like Jack Flaherty, let alone Mark Canha, are not going to unlock big-league-ready Top 100 prospects. Maybe Jack could return a hot 18- or 19-year-old ticket, but why would we do that?

Beyond that, trading Tarik Skubal for prospects would be waving the white flag for this and the next two seasons. I don't think we're going to do that, but if we did, then what are we doing here?
