RedRamage Posted September 16, 2021 Posted September 16, 2021 Stumbled across this story on MLB.com: The best player in baseball every year since 1969 First of all, it's a bummer that it doesn't go back further in history to include Ty Cobb, but beyond that I was a little disappointed to see that Miggy got no love. 01-04 = Bonds 05-06 = Pujols 07 = ARod 08-11 = Pujols 12-21 = Trout Now, I get the argument that Trout contributes more defensively than Miggy does and there may be some validity to that, but it seems to me that it's an oversight to not give credit to Miggy at least for 2012... you know the year he was the Triple Crown winner and the MVP in the same league that Trout was in? Or perhaps 2013 where he had an even better offensive year stats wise than 2012 and was again MVP in the same league that Trout was in? Quote
