And when someone asks "does everything have to be political" the answer is yes, absolutely. When you're actively helping cover up for a pervert and possible pedophile and you're actively participating in the degradation of the law and our Constitution you're damn right it's political.

We freely allow it here in the U.S. In fact we encourage our elected officials to do it. Just ask Nancy Pelosi. 🙂

None of the rights in the "Bill of" are absolute here either even though we like to talk to ourselves like they are, and liberal democracy (small 'l' small 'd') in Europe has manage to evolve pretty well without the more explicit kinds of statements we put in the Constitution. And to this particular point, Europe has more reason to remain circumspect of lofty pronouncements because they experienced political speech in Hitler that succeeded in producing 6 million+ murders and a war that destroyed most of their continent. If that had been our experience, it might have changed our views about the rhetoric we allow in the political sphere too.
I was under the belief that freedom of speech meant free speech whether you like the speech our not. Speaking of Europe, I see the AFD was allowed to attend the Munich Security conference this year after being banned. They are the 2nd largest party in the Bundestag and rising.

The House doesn't matter for a SC nominee but I'm sure this Senate will ram it through. I can't see 4 GOP holding back.
100% they will.

I know it's important to you to get the point that is a mental illness problem and keep the issue focused away from guns. I like guns too, so I get it. But when an issue results in loss of life and ills against society due to the terror aspect of a mass shooting, if you're side is so confident on the issue, why isn't your side able to put up some solution that could expand programs for mental illness?
Pretty sure i've never heard a dem say they won't spend on social programs to help with mental illness, can't imagine they are the problem in finding a solution. Granted I can see dems saying programs on mental illness alone isn't enough, but I still don't see them refusing to fund something like that.
So if you believe this in your heart, start holding your party accountable to do something about it.
Make insane asylums great again.
