The SS-Totenkopfverbände (Death's Head Units): This specific branch of the SS wore the skull on their right collar tab. They were responsible for building, organizing, and administering the Nazi concentration and extermination camps

The Totenkopf (German for "death's head" or skull) was a universal cap badge and insignia of the Nazi SS (Schutzstaffel). To the SS, it symbolized fanatical loyalty to Adolf Hitler, contempt for death, and an absolute willingness to commit acts of terror and violence in the name of the Nazi regime

My wife went to an organizing event in DC for the Freedom from Religion Foundation or whatever it is.  She's a pretty dedicated atheist whereas I'm just annoyed as **** by organized religion but believe in things that won't allow me to make that leap with her (my grandpa was a baptist pastor, i can see the value of faith for those in distress being two reasons).

Anyway...the levels of over analysis and pettyfogging by this group of well-meaning people was the subject of much humor when she returned.  I gather they got hung up on naming it in the first place.  DMV is apparently too obscure to the Virginia suburban peoples (it means DC, Maryland, Virginia).  I guess just going around that was like the "Good Place Committee" from the show.

So, the difference between what the GOP does and the Dems is right there.  The ruthless will-to-power types gravitate to the party where you don't have agree on muffins vs. donuts before you can get to a point of action.  When you marry that up with oligarchic control of media the somnambulant public will easily swallow some dumb narratives because flag, god, cops are good.

So a Karen convention that hates Christians that could not land on name.

I think the EV world could get tough for the super car builders. It's too easy to build a really fast electric car, and it will have a perfect 50/50 wt distribution and since the weight is all at the floor pan it's going to have near zero body roll even with a pretty ordinary suspension. Performance requires a lot less custom effort. The nature of battery tech is such that no-one is likely to be able to produce a 'hand built' battery better than what you get in a BYD (as compared to an elite ICE) . So more need than ever for them to sell style and mystique because you're selling to a class that needs the car to scream "you can't afford this" to the general public when the car itself doesn't perform much if any  better than a Ford or Tesla.
