With the Rams, there is a very good chance that SF has #1 wrapped up by then and won't play a lot of their starters. with Seattle. They are not going to win all 4 games. Geno ain't playing the Lions and they haven't been that impressive tis year. Plus Nick Mullins doesn't scare me like Dobbs would, but of course, they haven't announced the starter yet, have they?

Working from home today. Turned on Get Up at 8am. It's 8:35 and the only NFL game they have talked about to this point is the Cowboys game. Nothing else. Another reason why ESPN sucks balls.

Tommy DeVito's agent is going into the Italian American Sports Hall Of Fame. That's ridiculous. Why, because he dressed like a gangster on MNF? The only teams that can catch the Lions now are Minnesota, the LA Rams and Seattle and they all must go undefeated . Minnesota 2 vs. Detroit and 1 vs. Green Bay LA Rams vs. NOLA, @ NY Giants @ San Francisco Seattle vs. Philly, @ Tennessee, vs. Pittsburgh, @ Arizona. If they all went undefeated, then the Lions miss the playoffs. Not very likely. The following 7-7 teams can't pass the Lions (but one may win the division): New Orleans & Tampa Bay It's a virtual lock. it would take a miracle. So I think we root for Seattle tonight because with Dallas getting crumpled yesterday, #2 is within reach the Dallas game is in Prime Time, by the way and if the division is up for grabs in week 18, the last game will be as well. Just beat Minnesota next week.

The play with the "late hit" on Dak.....................HE DOVE OVER HIM, HE BARELY TOUCHED HIM ! Guess that's what happens when you get your arse kicked.

Nothing new for Ron Rivera. One of the worst game managers ever. Can't believe he's still there. Reminds me of Jim Caldwell - good at getting his teams prepared for the game and then mismanaging the game itself

I will speak for you, Father. As I speak for all mediocrities in the world. I am their champion. I am their patron saint,

If the Bears trade Fields, they are the dumbest team in the NFL. Please trade him, send him to a new division.

NEW HOT SEAT RANKINS (Week 15, Post-Staley) Interim Coaches do not qualify 1. Ron Rivera, Washington - New ownership will want their own guy. Can't believe he's still there. 2. Arthur Smith, Atlanta - He hasn't moved the needle and a loss to Carolina? Yikes 3. Robert Saleh, NY Jets - I think it all depends on what Aaron says, but after 30-0, he's in trouble 4. Mike Tomlin, Pittsburgh - Rare that they would fire a coach, but it's gotten stale 5. Mike Vrabel, Tennessee - I have to have 5, he's number 5, but not sure he'd get the boot. If he does, he'll be New England's guy.
-
Oh you can put Arthur Smith on a hot seat now. LOL.
-
Their offensive coordinator should be fired.

Who cares about that, ruining the Packers now and then clinching next week anyway is more fun.
-
Why? if they lose they can't catch us and we own any tiebreakers against TB from head-to-head
-
I didn't even think about that angle. Might be a little icy in the room when he gets back.

I know if the Eagles win that we clinch a playoff spot, but do we want the Seahawks instead, You know, for a possible shot at #2 or even (gulp) #1 seeding? We own tiebreakers over the entire south, so really its between us, the Packers and Rams. Do we own the tiebreaker over Green Bay? So we split Head-To-Head, next would be conference record, we have them by 1 1/2 games there, plus the Packers would have to go undefeated the rest of the way. I know the Lions playoff chances are now greater than 99% and because of that it's better if the Eagles lose, not the Seahawks, right?

A new way to blame Joe Biden for something is this Home Alone shopping comparison. What Kevin bought in 1990 for $20 would now cost $54, and increase of roughly 255%. Republicans are blaming this all on Biden. Now, dig a little deeper here, which is something many Americans can't seem to do despite having all the information in the world available, literally, in the palm of their hand. Would Kevin's shopping trip had cost $20 on January 19, 2021? No 33 years have passed. Lets take a look at the same comparison going backwards 33 years from 1990 to 1957. Kevin's $20 shopping trip would have cost roughly $8 (estimate since dryer sheets weren't invented yet) That's an increase of roughly 250 - 255% % Oh, yeah, lets leave that part out. But they bang this into everyone's head and it will work.

It takes a bit longer for defensive guys to catch on, especially anyone beyond the front line. Front Line kind of does what the do with some variations but the other defensive positions have to be reactionary. Those offensive guys act instead of react, so it's a faster learning curve. Especially being a linebacker, where you kind of have to be all things to really compete. He'll get it. He actually has the potential to be Chris Spielman Jr. He'd look a lot better if our line could actually get to the QB more often. I don't think this team can go too far in the playoffs. A home playoff game against the 6th or 7th seed is a winnable game, but I don't think the Lions can beat Dallas, Philly or San Francisco. This team probably won't really peak for another year or two. This offseason is about getting another defensive lineman to get to the QB and keeping that O-Line together. They might have to creative to do that. Priority 1. Pass Rusher 2. Secondary 3. More O-Line Depth 4. More LB depth Don't need any shiny new toys like QB, RB, WR or TE. They are set there for another year or two. The announcers talked about how all the good teams have gone through a rough patch, maybe that's all it was for the Lions. I sure hope so. I am hoping our Christmas present next week is an NFC North title clinching. The way the Vikins fell apart yesterday, they might be in their own head a bit.

I was 12. I went to the mall that day with me mum. I was at JC Penny watching this game in their TV section and my mom said let's go, its over - as I saw the Punter taking the field. Got into the car, turned on the radio and they were going crazy about the win. Totally missed it. My mom's fault.
