Another primary and once again Haley is polling 20% of the vote this time in Nebraska. A red state with a closed primary. These are registered Republicans. The numbers get even worse for Trump around Lincoln and the swing district around Omaha. 
 

Same story in Maryland. Maryland has a closed primary so you can say it’s blue state democrats crossing over. 

Reports are the 4th year is a non guaranteed $57 million option. That makes it a 3 year $155 million deal. 

Player options are rare in the NFL so I would say team. 

Keep in mind Goff already had a large cap hit. This isn't like going from a cheap rookie deal. 

Goff's contract is really a 3 year deal and seems front loaded.

The Rams forum is convinced they are playing on Thanksgiving. It doesn't make sense though. That would be 9:30 AM in Los Angeles. When is the last time the Lions played a west coast team on Thanksgiving? I think it will be Chicago. Lions and Rams have to be a Monday Night game.

Everywhere Goff has gone, the team has gotten better. Cal was a bad program when Goff arrived and by the end they were in a bowl game. The Rams hadn't had a winning season in 13 years before they drafted Goff. By year three they were in the Super Bowl. The Lions hadn't won a division in 30 years and a playoff game in 32 years. By year three they did both. It seems like three years is the tipping point for Goff. 

If Goff plays this entire contract with the Lions and at a high level, he has a shot at Stafford's team passing records. Stafford played 12 seasons but he missed most of the first two. Goff will be 34 at the end of the contract and still in a line for a 2-3 year extension. 

If this is how much a poor man's Matt Ryan gets, I shudder to think how much a rich man's Matt Ryan gets.

In the past two seasons, Goff leads the NFL in 4th quarter and overtime QBR and passing yards. He's also best in the NFL in the red zone with an 18/0 TD/INT ratio. Remove the name and his numbers stack up to just about any QB. 

About what I expected. I'm sure there will be a lot of haters from national media. I also think it's better to get this done before Dak and Tua which would just drive Goff's price up. 

Notice there's a lot fewer people with Holmes. Wondering if that was a COVID related change?

Reading between the lines and I think Goff is asking for more than the Lions want to pay. It seems like these contract discussions have been going on for a while now.
