  1. We'll get to see Keith play second today.
  2. Baez was absolutely trying to crush every pitch today and when he does, his head tilts up and off the ball. I know he's had success flailing away in earlier seasons but it doesn't seem to work anymore.
  3. Watching him in two at bats today, I'm surprised his shoes are still on his feet.
  4. https://twitter.com/PitchingNinja/status/1575123279190302725?t=I-XcMEyQux82siW2jWQMYQ&s=19
  5. His pitches looked good but that slider hung right over the middle.
  6. Ibanez hits his third home run of the spring.
  7. That is the million dollar question. Quote from the article: "With health and better controlled aggression, Greene will put himself in a great position to hit his 90th percentile outcome." I'm not sure if "controlled aggression" refers to plate discipline or diving plays or both.
  8. https://blogs.fangraphs.com/these-three-hitters-can-hit-their-peak-projection-in-2024/ Riley Greene is one of the three. Potential for 151 OPS+.
  9. Chapman signs with SF for three years at $20, $18 and $16 million with opt outs after the first and second years.
  10. Congratulations Tarik Skubal on being named the opening day starter!
  11. Pitching is a lot better with the 26 man roster guys.
  12. Carson Kelly clean up hitter!
  13. Malloy and Bigbie with two solid hits and an RBI each.
  14. McKinstry Oppo pop!
  15. 23 BB and 9 HBP today. Just a bit outside!
  16. Carpenter strained his hamstring in baserunning drills yesterday so we probably won't see him this weekend.
  17. Fangraphs has the payroll at $108 million. https://www.fangraphs.com/roster-resource/payroll/tigers I was skeptical of Harris going into the offseason but I really like what they have done to improve the roster. I think Edman's 26 man is correct and Baddoo is back in Toledo with McKinstry, Ibanez and Vierling on the bench. If the kids are really tearing up Toledo then Urshela and Canha are trade bait. I don't blame them for not signing any overpriced free agents. It was a really poor quality group who wanted big money because they were the "best" available. No need to overpay when there are legitimate prospects in the system.
  18. More depth and competition. Urshela was good in '22 for the Twins. Nice pick up by Harris.
  19. Detroit Tigers Announce 2024 Spring Training Broadcast Schedule - Ilitch Companies News Hub (ilitchnewshub.com)
  20. Greene is pitching now I guess. He's going to face live hitting this week.
  21. Tigers sign Keston Hiura to a minor league deal. Seems like the opposite of a Harris type.
  22. I guess Maybin hasn't signed yet.
