  1. Can you play DT? Asking for a friend.
  2. I think one of the pieces that led the Lions to Montgomery too is his durability. He's only missed 6 games in four seasons, only one game last season.
  3. I think a lot of us here have strong opinions that Montgomery will be better - possibly a lot better - behind a substantially better offensive line. 201 carries for 801 yards and 5 TDs isn't that amazing when compared to Jamaal's 262 carries for 1066 yards and 17 TDs... If Montgomery comes here and puts up 801 yards and 5 TDs in Jamaal's role, I think that will be disappointing and those grades will be appropriate. But if he can gain an extra yard or two per carry behind this offensive line, like the missed tackle rates suggest is possible, it's a different story completely.
  4. If I’m Okwara my stuff is probably in boxes. Drafting Wilson or Anderson almost certainly makes him the odd man out, and they may not even wait until the draft.
  5. Seems Harris is here to stay.
  6. If I was told I needed to lock myself in a house and just answer the phone and stay in shape for four months, in exchange for a 4+ year contract worth multi-millions.... I would have gotten it done when I was 10 years old, 14, 16, 19, or 21. After the character flaws report came out, that's literally all Carter needed to do.
  7. Generally, I subscribe to this belief. That said, I don't foresee Swift receiving an extension. If they do take a running back in the draft, they'll have $6MM or so plus a rookie contract on the books for the next three years. That's not the "paying running backs" that a team should stay away from.
  8. I wouldn't be upset if we gave up both 2s and went up for Anderson. I would be too happy about having Anderson and Hutch as the bookends on that defensive line for the foreseeable future that I'm not sure there is anything they could do to upset me the rest of the draft.
  9. Lol I did see that. My boy is Charlie Campbell though, Walt is just a degenerate gambler.
  10. I'm not even sure it costs that much. Trade value chart would have 3 (2200) minus 6 (1600) needing us to makeup 600. Both 2s would have Arizona +170. #6, a 2023 2nd, and a 2024 3rd might get er done.
  11. I haven't seen a ton of football people hate on the signing. A lot of casual fans will hate it because they loved Jamaal, which, fair. We all loved Jamaal and he's irreplaceable... I think there is a lot of upside with Montgomery as a replacement though.
  12. I'm still all aboard the trading up for Anderson train.
  13. Kind of an odd replacement for Montgomery. Homer has only started two games in his career with Seattle and has three career TDs.
  14. Also hoping Jamaal doesn't land with Chicago, but I think he's the rare guy who would still get a good bit of pregame applause from the Ford Field crowd upon his return.
  15. I think Montgomery will take the role of goal-line / 3rd down / downhill between the tackles back, while Swift remains (or Bijan becomes) the newer generation backfield threat.
  16. Yup. I think Montgomery is likely expected to be a slightly younger and slightly better version of Jamaal Williams at the price point they were comfortable spending.
  17. Little bit surprised by this, but I guess it depends on what he thinks he’s worth. We weren’t going to get him for 2 years / $6MM again.
  18. The secondary might just be alright next season. Walker is looking like a man on a damn mission.
  19. This is why I think Jamaal re-signs sometime this week. It’s not a RB friendly market that justifies a team outbidding others for an RB2. Someone would really need to fall in love with him.
  20. Depends on Love. If he can be halfway decent (which he hasn’t shown to this point), they might be able to hover around .500.
  21. The card is on the other side. Packers have to remind Rodgers he is loved every year.
  22. I'm going to call it now though that the Packers-Jets trade isn't going to satisfy Green Bay fans at all. Something like a 2023 2nd and 5th and a 2024 3rd for Rodgers and a yearly Christmas card.
