The SOL teams of the past would have folded in that 3rd quarter and let Rodgers or Farve or Matt Flynn march right down the field and make a comeback. The SOL teams of the past would have made costly, undisciplined penalties that would have extended drives. The SOL teams of the past would have made a coaching mistake that cost them the game. One thing Dan Campbell has turned these guys into, that SOL teams of seasons past were not, was finishers. You think about the Lions teams that have blown it against Green Bay or Chicago or whomever and could never close it out. This team rebounded after the 3rd quarter and finished them off.
They were getting called for non-existent penalties in the 3rd quarter. The PI and unnecessary roughness on that TD drive were terrible. Add in Hutch’s hands to the face and letting the snap go after time expired. The refs had a rough 2nd half.

Everyone knew Atlanta was taking Bijan.

Cousins is a veteran, he should have spiked the ball all on his own. It was 1st down and goal...the wasted down would have made no difference. Rookie mistake!
From that article;
"O'Connell made clear that he didn't think that the ticking clock impacted the execution of the play. But given how the scene played out, he acknowledged that spiking the ball would have been a better option."
Should have went faster to have 4 shots. Spiking the ball doesn’t necessarily give you an extra play.

On a desperation last play. Spike the ball and there's time for 2 plays. It may have been a totally different play call. Rookie mistake, the downs didn't matter.
The ball was snapped with 12 seconds. It was late, but they had another play minimum. They should have gone faster though.

If Cousins would have spiked the ball, the Vikings may have won. A rookie mistake from a grizzled veteran.
It was an interception. Not sure more time would have helped.

Vatai was hurt when Reynold ran into his back and rolled him up. Need smarter players or better plays for dumb players.

Seeking contact in todays NFL is a fool’s choice.

I've debated jumping into the fray of the clock management conversation or not. My initial reaction was actually not to roast or even criticize Campbell for it at the end of the game. As a fan, I've often let my emotions and frustrations cloud my opinion making during and immediately after the game. So I've sat around and thought about this since yesterday. I can't help but feel letdown by Campbell being such an aggressive coach, only to get conservative and play for overtime when it mattered most.
Campbell had 3 timeouts remaining in the final 1:20 or whatever it was. His play calling and decision making there showed he was playing for OT. By letting 30 seconds run off the clock before calling a play, not using a timeout to save time, but then using a timeout on the next was poor clock management. Playing for a 50/50 coin toss to get the ball in overtime, as opposed to being your usual aggressive self and playing for the TD and a win, was poor clock management. Don't be aggressive all game long just to get conservative in the end and not play for the TD and the win.
They had 2 timeouts would have had the ball inside the 20 with 30 seconds left. That’s plenty of time. Not being aggressive is a fair and warranted criticism. The clock management was not an issue at all. Unless you wanted them to run the ball. Then you would want that time to waste on a RB missing the hole and hitting one of our linemen in the back.

If they lose this game then getting tickets to future games will be a hell of a lot easier!

They managed the clock fine. They ran out of downs, not time.

The defense is still bad. This is not really debatable. No pass rush at all. It’s not like this is a new problem. This team will always be bad until they can finish when they rush the passer.

Richardson hurt already running and lower g his shoulder. Stupid. Honestly this goes for Gibbs too. I don’t want or need him seeking out contact. If you are a Ferrari, be careful with the paint.

Did Malcolm Rodriguez play? I don't remember hearing his name called.
I saw him for sure on one pass play.

I don't see #1 as petty discipline necessarily so much as it is means to the end of him falling down the depth chart that he is interpreting as punishment. Voluntarily workouts aren't meant to be hazing, they're meant to get your body into shape earlier. If three guys are all around the same talent level, and A and B went to voluntary workouts while C didn't, it would stand to reason that A and B would be further along in being prepared for the season come week one.
I could see him being told he was going to be a healthy scratch simply because they saw a better chance to win with others at the position. If he was passed on the depth chart by guys like Levi and/or Benito Jones, who were at voluntary workouts, and Buggs asks why they are seen as better than him, he could be honestly told "they are working hard, they put in the extra minutes at voluntary workouts, and right here / right now, we think put us in a better position to win against Kansas City." ... To which Buggs would say, that's BS, I only wasn't there because my kid was being born.
I don’t think voluntary workouts are going to put anyone any more ahead than others who workout on their own. Except in a coach’s mind.

Xfinity streaming wasn’t bad. You have to call to cancel though. Never again.

That doesn’t include Kubalik and DeBrincat.

TBF, we don't know if they had a discussion and didn't reach a deal. From the fact that Dorion is out there complaining that the offers weren't good enough, we can infer that someone has been making the offers he didn't like.
It’s what happens when you overpay for something then a year later can’t get rid of it for nearly what you paid. I had a issue like this with a house recently. Instead of whining publicly, just ride it out.

If anyone is ever confused about a rule just ask yourself, what is the most profitable option for the league and it’s owners? Be sure to not allow yourself to be concerned about the players. Just that sweet sweet money.
