I don't understand the waste of a draft pick, when he still has excellent trade value. The Wings are in good shape in goal for a while now.

They got a first round pick for him, that's good enough.

He said he wanted a goalie to compete with Postava, that they don't want to hand over the backup job to a rookie. They signed the goalie to be a 3rd goalie, and Postava will probably be the backup.

I wonder if things change with the Larkin and Debrincat/Kane situations. I think if Larkin has 2nd thoughts, then DBC and Kane will be back. Otherwise, I think they are gone. If they stay, then I see Arvidsson on the 1st line with Larkin and Raymond,, with DBC, Copp and Kane on the 2nd line. I also wonder when Edvinsson will sign. He'll get a similar deal as Seider.

The Wings are light on the leftwing, so Arvidson is a nice get for 2 years.

You have to get centers much earlier than that. I found it interesting that the Wings took a lot of players they don't have to sign right away. They can take their time.

And the later the draft gets, the less of a chance any Wings trade gets done today.

Raymond is more of a facilitator than a goal scorer.

I'm assuming Dbc is gone if Larkin is. Another is to move Kasper or Danielson to the 1st line.

You can add Postava, who wasn't drafted, but signed by the Wings. His future looks bright.

I think the Wings can replace Larkin at Center with Raymond, and move some young wingers up, like MBN. They have to get creative.

Not available. The Wings need to reset, they need to add talent and value. It shouldn't take long if they can add enough young talent.

This year's talent just isn't jumping off the page. It reminds me of the year that the Rangers had the first pick. Next year's draft is better. We should see alot of #1 prospect Landon DuPont, who I saw plenty of as a teammate of Carter Bear for Everett.

What makes no sense is thinking that the Wings can buy a championship. They must get young value back, and Yzerman is the man to lead them.

I'm a Steve Yzerman guy all the way. I think the Wings need to get the best value in the trades, and they should look at trading other veterans. They are set at goal (even without Cossa) and defense. They have young forwards, and I still think that if he's he's healthy, Lane Danielson is an excellent player.

Great game by Everett and Carter Bear. Bear had a goal and asssist, and the Silvertip machine reaches the Memorial Cup final representing the USA against theKitchener Rangers. Bear first the Wings well, since he's a left handed shot, and he can play the off-wing. Everett won the game 6-1.
