We don't know if Duren can shoot a three...he's never (I think) tried one. Not even in College. Maybe it's a hidden skill

This is definitely a high risk/reward move for the Rams...much like GB trading for Micah Parsons the year before. That's a lot of assets going out for a guy who's contract could hamstring you . Or he could be the guy that gets you over the top

Yeah...defenses close so quickly today. Plus with your back to the basket on the sky hook you have to rotate into the shot and ...likely...a defender. Awful pretty when it goes in though. I hated playing with my back to the basket. Played a lot of rec league ball, because I'm 6-5 I got to play a lot of C. Hated it. Much preferred to be on a wing facing the basket...so I would generally not play C even ig that's what I was supposed to do. Players are so quick these days..maybe they need to widen th court and the paint a bit to create more traffic to the rim. I detest the run to the corners and stand there offense we see so much of today

Montreal didn't have a shot on goal in the third period until there were 3 minutes left. Carolina has to be frustrating to play

Saw a lot of Michigan this year...Johnson can hit the occasional 3 and he's a solid finisher at the rim. Good rebounder at both ends of the floor and has like a +5 wingspan so there's some defensive potential as a rim protector

I really like Morez Johnson....Not as much as Yaxel...but I think he could be a better NBA player than Mara, who strikes me more as a back up

I wanted them to take Clingan...but Buzelis would have been better than Holland too

Would like to have any of the guys on Michigan's front line at #21. I think Johnson has the highest ceiling of them, Yaxel the highest floor. Mara is intriguing because there may be some growth in his game as a shooter...but not as much overall upside as Johnson. Agree that if we're going to spend substantial future assets we have to get a legit #2 for Cade to work with NC's Henri Veersaar would be an intriguing guy...7ft C who hit 42% from 3 against high level competition in the ACC.

I see more young Kareem in Wemby than young Wilt...Kareem was a freak athlete at 7ft whatever he was ( some say 7-2...some say 7-4) But then...so was Wilt. Winning championships as a high jumper, running a 4.5 40 and making his mark in volleyball.
