Im as big a Duren guy as anyone here. I wouldn't give him a max deal..

DISAPPOINTING...to say the least. Not even worth analyzing much beyond that.

Wallace and Ausar share a lot of characteristics..they both have 7ft+ wingspans, they both had superior quickness and hops and most importantly, they both have tremendous defensive instincts. Duren has long arms as well...he has a lot of bend too so when he decides to drive to the hoop, he's handling the ball down by his ankles..that is tough to deal with

There have been times he's come off the screen with an open shot...since Cade hit him in the hands with a pass he fumbled in game 4...he's not looking for him

Cade has been looking less for Duren in the paint when he rolls of the screen....he has perhaps lost confidence in him as well

Refs didn't help...but...they choked

You expect a little drop off in the offense for a rim running big like Duren in the playoffs...but he's not doing ANYTHING. He's working on defense, but the rebounding and interior scoring have dried up completely. Now he's pressing...thinking too much and looks completely out of synch. I'm also not 100% convinced he's recovered from his knee issue at the ASB. He is costing himself a ton of money....that great chemistry with Cade has all but disappeared. I've gone from assuming Cade would force them into resigning him to wondering if Cade would be open to letting him walk. Mara won't be there when we pick...but Morez Johnson might be. He has that 7ft plus wingspan.

The thing about Edmonton is you have three fantastic players in McDavid, Draisaitl and Bouchard and a lot of "meh" after that...Nugent-Hopkins and Hyman had decent production last year but they're getting old.

With Stew, Duren and Ausar....we should be very tough to score on in the paint. All three of those guys are explosive athletes with wingspans 7ft or better (Stew and Duren were measured at 7-5, Ausar at 7ft). That tough interior defense is definitely becoming part of our identity. Draft Mara and we can lock up the paint for a full 48 🙂

If Harden doesn't go off in the 4th..this is closer to a 20 pt game. If Duren and Cade shoot a touch better it's a 20pt game. This is a very fun team to watch...Ausar is the closest thing to Rodman I've seen here since worm left.

Where's Micky Redmond? He'd know
