The Tigers 2026 season has been a disaster, but the SF Giants broke the spirit of the Detroit Tigers organization when they swept the 2012 World Series. Dave Dombrowski hires Brad Ausmus when Jim Leyland retires. Dombrowski is fired and Ausmus was a failure. Al Avila was a below average GM. Ron Gardenhire used the Tigers to just grab some cash. Gardenhire's heart wasn't in the job. Al Avila hires AJ Hinch after he and the Houston Astros disgraced the game. 2024 and 2025 now look like fraudulent seasons. Our Tigers haven't done very much correctly since 2012.
Most of you people, on this message board, disagree with the majority of my post, but Scott Harris and AJ Hinch should both be fired. The ownership and management of this team is disgusting?
Rob Thompson, Alex Cora, Joe Maddon, Dave Martinez and Bob Melvin. There aren't many managerial candidates better than AJ Hinch and that's what is saving his job at this time.
I wish we could hear what Andy and Jason talk about during commercial breaks. I would really like to know how they really feel about this Tigers team and season.
The Tigers organization has no pride. From the owner to the players. If Gorge Steinbrenner or Ted Turner owned the Tigers somebody would have been fired by now
It's not time to panic. Greene and McGonigle have been drawing their share of walks, but the tigers lineup just isn't clutch in 2-out situations. I'm hoping for a miracle and better results with RISP soon.
I'm not happy with this most recent loss to the Red Sox, but I'm relieved Scott Harris didn't sign Skubal to a long term $200 million dollar contract. Skubal's value to other MLB teams just plummeted to $21 million over the next three seasons. Skubal must prove he can pitch in high leverage situations again.
The McGonigle contract extension appears to be a good move. Keep him out of the free agent market. We small market teams don't need to help the Dodgers, Yankees, Mets and Phillies get better at our expense.
The Red Sox just fired Alex Cora and almost all of his coaching staff. Chad Tracy has been promoted for Worcester to Boston as interim manager. John Henry and the Fenway Group definitely have the money to convince Hinch to leave the Tigers.
