Well, like I said, I hope he learns from his mistakes. He didn't seem to learn from the Baltimore game not to rusn 3 when a long play is needed. He did the same thing 2 weeks later, with the same results. With such a weak secondary, it seems like common sense not to give the opposing QB so much time to get the ball so far down the field. And even then, it took 2 historically long field goals to beat us. And hopefully he'll learn to call plays with the players he has and not just by the book. Going for it on 4th down usually is the right call. Only problems are the players you have to work with and putting your weak defense in a tight spot if you're stopped. That possibility has to be taken into account. And not taking the points when you're in FG range is never the right call early in a still close game.

Release players that leave receivers wide open. In 2 games. Easy wins we just gave away. If you're not going to cover, you may as well blitz.

He's made some pretty bad calls. Going for it on 4th down with a lack of quality players. And his clock management hasn't been too impressive. Rushing 3 on critical plays with a horrible secondary. But yeah, we'll give him a pass until we get some players that are capable of playing in the NFL. But some of his calls are mistakes that hopefully he'll learn from.

What is it you could possibly like? Our inexperienced coach crying? Wouldn't it be better if he was, like, really pissed off? I mean, really, really pissed?

Guy is prolly gonna have a nervous breakdown like Dickie V. did coaching the Pistons. Just quicker.

It's incredibly hard to find an All-Pro QB. When you get one, you build around him. The Lions almost had one in Stafford, if they would have built a proper team around him, he may have been the answer. We'll see how good he is with much more talent around him in Los Angeles. Go Rams!

Our D has played pretty good because of their play calling.

If they nontender him, he's a free agent immediately. And then free to sign with anyone. Some team may come sweeping in.

But if a team and player go to arbitration and the player wins, does that mean the team has to pay him what the arbitrator decides? I mean, can a team just refuse and release the player?

I don't agree. Mize, Manning, Alexander and Skubal will be 4 of our SP, if healthy. Sign Verlander for a project and Peralta to be our #5 SP? Our biggest need is a quality SS and maybe another BP arm. Maybe a catcher on a one year contract?

Yeah, he's a great dude, he really is. But there has to be a business decision made. For about the same price he may want, we can actually get a #5 pitcher. Don't forget, we have some more SP coming up soon and Turnbull coming back, maybe June or July. Sign Petalta? He was better than I thought.

I don't think the Tigers will sign Boyd. Isn't he eligible for arbitration? What would he cost us? Don't get me wrong, I want him as long as he's healthy. But at what price do you draw the line?
