Looks good if so, as best I can try to visualize it with the helmet and pants combinations.  Back to traditionally styled numbers and outlines. What I hope is they don't make a huge mess by infusing black...felt forced and I never liked it.

Totally. Every time I hear someone on The Ticket say they want black jerseys or outlines I lose it a little bit, lol. Those unis were the worst in the history of the franchise, for the reason you mentioned: it was forced. Black works great when it's a primary team color, but it looks try-hard when it isn't. We're not the Raiders or the Steelers. We're the f**king Lions. Now with that said, I wouldn't mind a darker shade of blue. Not navy or midnight blue, but just a tad darker than Honolulu blue.

The jersey in that mock-up is honestly damn near perfect, IMO. I really hope they go back to traditional block numbers.

They never tried to get Slay to take a pay cut. I'm not talking about major players, I'm talking about depth players. You can't pay fringe players like top line starters.

The Packers asked Aaron Jones to take pay cuts two years in a row. Why hasn't the NFLPA stepped in yet?

  3. I'm cool with the philosophy as a guiding principle, but I think when you get this close to the top of the mountain, adding an impact player at a position of particular need can put you over the top. Yes, it carries more risk than draft, develop and extend, but Super Bowl windows generally don't stay open for long.

You have to consider everything now - since the Duke Lacrosse story and the UVA Frat Rape false stories - and that's unfortunate.  Those two things did more to hurt future rape victims than to help them.    Trevor Bauer's a weird weird guy and he's probably into some weird things, but I am not 100% convinced that she's the victim she claims to be.   Is it possible (like in the Middle East) that both side are wrong?      Anyway, I don't want a guy who's going to piss off his teammates and set a bad example for the youths in the organization.    Good luck in South Korea, Trev.  (or wherever he pitches).

We do know all of those thing, though. The texts -- and the dates they were sent -- came to light as a result of discovery, and are not in dispute. Same with the videos. She was explicit about her intentions to extort money from Bauer. Bauer's an A-hole, and if that's a deal-breaker for Harris and Hinch, cool. But I'm not sure how anyone can read those texts and watch those videos and not conclude that the accuser wasn't lying.
