Looks like the ballpark is packed except for the seats behind home plate where the oligarchy could sit if they got around to showing up, but they’re off doing something better today.
I don’t like close nip and tuck games. I’m here for the dopamine and endorphin rush and waiting for that until the very end of the game where we pull it out dramatically is not my favorite scenario. I’m a dopamine and endorphin IV drip kind of fan or a lab rat that can keep hitting the joy buzzer at will.
I’m presuming this Roku broadcast has Dan and the lead announcer from the Reds collaborating in the booth. Jason and Bobby on the radio it sounds like and given that it’s Roku it’s poorly synchronized with the action on the TV.
When I think of the Cincinnati Reds, I think of stories about Reds pitcher Joe Nuxhall, who pitched in a game when he was only 15 for the Reds. Pitch 2/3 of an inning and gave up five runs.
As I recall the last time, we were a Sunday Roku game I was able to watch this on mlb.tv. Although the early start time conflicts with my usual Sunday walk into the lower foothills of the mountains outside of town.
