A 20% increase from last year. It’s ridiculous how much money they are making and scary to think they are only legal in 26 states. I’m afraid their control over sports and media is only going to grow stronger. Quote

buddha Posted May 13 Posted May 13 pathetic from boston. is tatum hurt or did he come down with a case of donovan mitchell-itis? Quote
Deleterious Posted May 13 Author Posted May 13 They are going to have a $450-$500 million payroll next year depending on if they keep their 1st round pick or not. And their star probably won't play a single game. Quote

Betrayer Posted May 14 Posted May 14 (edited) Right, so Cleveland has great health this year compared to last year and gets 55 more games out of their top 3 All-Star players. That elevates them to a more successful regular season in which they win 16 more games. They literally got 33% more games played out of those guys and won 33% more games than last year - it's 1 to 1. Then they sustain some injuries in the playoffs and get bounced in the second round...just like last year. And apparently Atkinson deserved coach of the year versus a guy who literally made NBA history by tripling a team's win total, beat the Vegas line by 20 games, did it without adding a single All-Star, all while losing his second best scorer in early January. NBA awards are a joke. The writers have their narrative set in stone by mid-season. Edited May 14 by Betrayer Quote
buddha Posted May 14 Posted May 14 boston and cleveland just looked so soft. mitchell has been a real front runner for them. has some big games and then gets hurt when the going gets tough. jarrett allen got punked again. boston was just chucking up 3's with reckless abandon and refused to go to the basket. i know 3's are their MO, but when youre up 20, take some damn easy points and get to the line! the pistons played the knicks tougher than boston. jaylon brown looked inconsequential. the whole team wouldnt take a hard foul if you paid them. so many soft teams and soft players got exposed. 1 Quote
buddha Posted May 14 Posted May 14 now boston and cleveland are going to make some changes with the strict apron penalties coming. Quote
Deleterious Posted May 14 Author Posted May 14 You have to give Carlisle and Indiana's defense a lot of credit. Cleveland was a fun team to watch this year. Tons of movement, cutting, and passing. Indiana turned them into an ISO heavy offense and made them play ugly basketball. 1 Quote
Betrayer Posted May 14 Posted May 14 With Pop gone, Carlisle might be the best coach in the league. Certainly him and Spo are in the top 3 anyway. I always wonder what could’ve been if we hung onto him instead of renting LB for a year and a half and then brought in “Regular Season Flip”. Quote
