in my mind 19 is always the number given to disposable players.  i was surprised that anibal sanchez wore it for as long as he did

Speaking of disposable numbers, but for indispensable players, here at the 5:00 mark is Trammell wearing #69 in spring training in 1977.

Whitaker is spotted at 2:30, but I can't make out his number. Parrish is already in his #13 at 6:37.

Bittersweet seeing so much of Fidrych in that, as it would have been just weeks or even days before his injury.
