Some GM is going to lose his job over the pick. I did learn he is from Detroit and played at Cass Tech for two years before transferring to IMG. I also learned Vanderbilt has a player named Chandler Bing. the nba does not care about defense. Quote

You have to be able to keep your guy in front of you. It’s a killer if they can drive the lane with ease and either kick for a 3 or take it all the way for 2. Quote
Deleterious Posted March 22 Author Posted March 22 Good, well run teams still care about defense. It's no coincidence that the four top ranked defenses are OKC, Detroit, San Antonio, and Boston. 1 Quote
Deleterious Posted March 23 Author Posted March 23 They have both picked it up after Ant went down. Quote
Deleterious Posted March 24 Author Posted March 24 Cam Thomas cut by Milwaukee. Another smaller guard that plays no defense. Welcome to the Shanghai Sharks. Quote
Deleterious Posted March 24 Author Posted March 24 I have been trying to fight it, but I don't see how he doesn't win MVP. Unless voters completely ignore the defensive side of his game, which wouldn't shock me I guess. Quote
Hongbit Posted March 24 Posted March 24 I can say with near certainty that voters will be completely ignoring the defensive side of his game. 1 Quote
Deleterious Posted March 24 Author Posted March 24 Since the all star break. San Antonio is 16-2. OKC is 15-1. Quote
Deleterious Posted March 24 Author Posted March 24 Meh, you idiots bargained for this. Suck it up and live with the results. Quote
Deleterious Posted March 25 Author Posted March 25 The west is odd. The two best teams in the league are in the west. Then about 6-7 very mid level teams. Then some absolutely terrible teams. Golden State would be 4 games out of the playin in the east. Quote
Deleterious Posted March 25 Author Posted March 25 Not sure how you recover your value at $10 billion in Vegas or even Seattle. Detroit is the #14 media market in the country. Seattle is 13th, Vegas 40th. Forbes values the Pistons at $3.65 billion, so call it four. An existing team in Seattle or Vegas is going to sell between $3.5 billion and $5 billion. That price gets you everything, the stadium, the practice facility, the staffing, all the equipment, etc. When you bid $10 billion on expansion, you then have to spend more money to acquire everything I just listed. I don't really understand the finances here. Quote
Deleterious Posted March 25 Author Posted March 25 Something else to consider with two teams being added to the West. A current Western conference team will be moved to the East. Memphis, New Orleans, and Minnesota are the three talked about. Most feel it will be Minnesota. Another potential top 5 player added to the conference isn't the best news for Detroit. Quote

Deleterious Posted March 25 Author Posted March 25 Sorry. I don't think the 21st ranked defense can be a contender. Quote

Deleterious Posted March 26 Author Posted March 26 That was bad. The call and the very soft ejection. Quote
buddha Posted March 26 Posted March 26 twolves are currently 4.5 games ahead of toronto for the 19th spot in the draft, so it looks like the pistons will get their swap to move up 5 or 6 picks in the draft. Quote
buddha Posted March 26 Posted March 26 The great josh giddey missed another triple double by 1 rebound last night as the bulls put up 137 on the sixers. and lost by 20. the bulls gave up 157 points in a game. no one should take any of these great looking numbers by mediocre players seriously. neither team tried. it was the equivalent of an all star game, without any all stars.
