  1. This is probably true and the Left that doesn't fail in assessing the scale or category of what is different about Reagan, Bush and Trump might still miss what was so corrupt about Clinton but not Obama. All of the previous POTUS (POTUSi?) were better about having respect to at least some degree for the norms.
  2. Good job Liz
  3. I never found George Carlin particularly funny. I think I was in the educated middle class and he seemed to appeal to a slighter lower-brow audience. This person using his likeness for his avatar seems to have encapsulated my feelings about this election well. I know oligarchs always get their way because cash is king but the overtness of it in this election and their complete flouting of the rules of nobless oblige just makes me so angry. They are fighting so the Weinsteins and Trump and whoever else can sexually abuse your daughter and get away with it. They are fighting using the ignorant to install their puppet Trump so they can cut deals with Saudi Arabia, China and Russia so they can get richer and more powerful. They want to install one of their own governor of Mars and get richer off the proceeds.

  12. I don't know if it is anticipatory obedience to Trump as much as Bezos wants to make his tax breaks permanent so he can enjoy kleptocracy and no regulation of his businesses.
