  1. And Jimmy Kimmel is not on the list. For those of you just tuning in, the Jimmy Kimmel/Aaron Rodgers feud was raised to a new level with Rodgers claiming Jimmy Kimmel would be on the Epstein list. He has since apologized. I think Kimmel should sue him for $1 billion dollars for such a horrible accusation.
  2. Mayhew is a holdover from Snyder and I have a feeling that everyone will be gone from the Commanders (maybe even the name) by this time next week. The sale happened to soon before the season to do it this year. I doubt the new owner wants any stench from the Snyder era removed (including the stadium, which literally pours sewage on fans).
  3. Hot Seat List ----GOOD AS GONE ---- 1. Ron Rivera, Washington. - If he hasn't packed up his stuff yet, I'd be shocked. This is where I think Harbaugh is going. Two Harbaughs in the Beltway. ---NEED A POSITIVE FINISH ---- 2. Arthur Smith, Atlanta. - If they can somehow rally and luck their way into the playoffs they might save his job, but probably not. 3. Mike McCarthy, Dallas - Look, the only reason the Lions had that shot is allowing his OC to call pass plays late in that game when they needed to drain the clock. That was pure stupidity. I think he needs to get to the NFC Championship to stay. The home run swing for Jerry might be Lincoln Riley 4. Dennis Allen, New Orleans - Thought this was an uninspired pick to begin with. ---TIRED ROUTINE--- 5. Mike Vrabel, Tennessee - Might be that it got stale there. If Bill leaves New England I think they will find a way to get Vrabel there. 6. Bill Belichick, New England - I don't know what to make of this. He should just walk away (he should have 3 years ago), but to think he could be fired is strange. But he has had plenty of time post-Brady to rebuild The interims 1. Las Vegas. Antonio Pearce deserves a shot here. Give him a three year contract. Stop trying to win the Press Conference. Don't make the same mistake you did with Rich. 2. LA Chargers. The most disappointing team in years. They'll want a completely fresh start. I know some have said Harbaugh (because he coached in San Diego) but I don't see Spanos coughing up that kind of money. 3. Carolina. They'll clean slate everything but who, of quality, is going to want to work for Tepper? I think he'll get a has-been or a coordinator that feels like they might only get one shot. Harbaugh Meter 1. Washington. New Owner wants to restore the team's glory and not many coaches could have the ability to turn things around quickly like Harbaugh did in SF 2. Michigan - Takes a year off for suspension and comes back. 3. New England - It's a bold move and there is a Brady-Harbaugh connection. I think Kraft would listen to any suggestions from Brady 4. Dallas - Could you imagine those to egos in the same area code? It would be like Steinbrenner/Billy Martin, but it's so crazy it could work (short term) 5. Las Vegas - Mark Davis might want more sizzle than AP. He should be careful. 6, New Orleans - Football overshadows all other sports there and a guy with Harbaugh's intensity and weirdness would play well there, but would he want to live in Louisiana? 7. Atlanta - Arthur Blank seems to want to get the attention other owners do, Harbaugh here sure would do that. Atlanta is not like the rest of the south 8. Miami - I normally would not consider this, but Stephen Ross is the owner here and that changes everything, especially if Miami collapses and does not win a playoff game (and looks bad in the process). 9. LA Chargers - Can't see them spending and they need to move back to San Diego anyway. Idiots 10. Carolina - No, no way, forget it.
  4. I think it went more like this Ref 1: Brad, why did you throw that flag Brad: You know why Ref 2: No, I don't Brad: I don't know about you guys but Jerry pays so much better than the league that I can't just let this happen Ref 2: Jerry pays you? Brad: Of course, Dean told me all about it. Dude pays well Ref 3: First time I'm hearing about it Brad: Well nobody reports to you, do they Ref 2: What's the flag for. Brad: To make Jerry happy. Rog will like this too. They are America's team.
  5. The trailers for it just seem to have Joaquin staring into space like he's been medicated. Very odd. He's a strange choice to play that role. Several filmmakers have considered this biopic but it never really gets done or done well. Stanley Kubrick wanted to do a Napoleon movie for years but never settled on a script. You know he really wasn't that short? He was average height for his time at 5' 6", but so many cartoons drew him as being an angry little man that it kind of stuck with people.
  6. No southern school in the CFB Championship since the first one in 2014 (Ohio State vs. Oregon) and Ohio State is kind of a southern school. I expect the South to secede over this in the ultimate temper tantrum. And I would be fine with that.
  7. Oh, wait..........there's a flag on the play.........they thew it 18 minutes after the game was over, but they may get a first down
  8. We sure didn't get cheated on good games this weekend.............
  9. How long did it take for that flag to come out. Was it immediate or did they need to think about it. This whole thing just smells rotten, like it wasn't an honest mistake at all. Use it, Lions. Don't grouse about it. Shove it back in their faces, boys.
  10. A lot of it depends on which team drafts them and what situation they go to. If the Lions draft Tom Brady, would anyone outside of Michigan fans know who he is?
  11. YOU CAN STUFF YOUR SORRIES IN A SACK, MISTER !
  12. **** their apologies. I'm ****ing sick of the league apologizing to the Lions. I hope the Lions can use it and shove it right up the league's ass.
  13. No, they don't want to pay Fields. So they'll take a big step backwards. It's the Bears.
  14. So the Bears seem to be like the Lions last year. Really coming together in the 2nd half. So they're gonna let Fields go now for an inexperienced rookie? We love you Bears, You keep being the Bears.
  15. Someone asked why did all 3 go over to the ref (Sewell, Skipper and Decker) and Rex Ryan had to point out that you don't want to make it too obvious to the defense and Rex also said that players and coaches tune out PA announcements.
  16. `but because of it, the Lions might have to go back to Dallas in Round 2 - because Dallas holds the tiebreaker now and that sucks. Guess we'll have to hope for Seattle or the Rams or whomever comes in at #7 to beat Dallas (and if we win our home game, we'd get another one if that happened). Why not dream of a Super Bowl? I mean, I know this team has not peaked and that might happen 2 years from now, but Dallas had been destroying teams at home and the Lions held with them. A missed play by Derrick Barnes and a bad call by the refs is what it took - the defense held yesterday - and if they can play like that, they could take this all the way (not expecting it, but why not us? other teams not as good as this one have gone on runs).
  17. There is probably an ESPN email to Rex Ryan telling him to cool it on not supporting the Cowboys
  18. ESPN, who fellated the Cowboys all night last night, has a story about how Adain Hutchinson should have been called for a tripping play. Way to deflect, ESPN. We know what you're doing.
  19. Mike McCarthy needs to be thanking this crew, not for winning him the game, but for getting all the attention off of him for throwing the ball and stopping the clock. That's not going to help his job security.
  20. But the Lions know they can beat these guys (if it's a fair fight). That goes a long way too. I think maybe the Lions walk away from this game feeling better than the Cowboys do today, because there has got to be some doubt creeping in for the Cowboys. Not for the Lions.
  21. The next play being the 2 point conversion (since they hadn't run it yet). It's like slamming Brady Hoke for not noticing his QB stumbling after a hard hit. Brady wasn't looking at the huddle, Brady was focusing on the next thing.
  22. Plus you show the team that you believe in them and that you have brass balls and believe me, that is going to resonate with those players. I guarantee you there is not a single player in that locker room grousing about what Campbell did. He showed a lot of love and respect to his players by asking them to go get it and the loss stings but that, in the long run, only fuels this team's fire.
  23. Um, no, they weren't. They are very focused on what the next play is, they're probably talking to players/coaches the whole time and it's not always easy to hear what is being said on the PA anyway (plus the crowd noise). Players/coaches drown that **** out
