  1. Are the Lions wearing the alternate helmets tonight?
  2. Guys, I'm not so sure Mike Tomlin comes back next year as Steelers Head Coach. Maybe it just got stale.
  3. Donald Kroner was the 33-year-old pilot charged with reckless flying, littering, and making a bomb threat against former Baltimore Colts linebacker Bill Pellington. Pellington owned a bar and restaurant from which Kroner was once ejected for using foul language.[22]
  4. Does anyone remember this, because I have brought it up with friends around my age and nobody does, but I don't think I hallucinated it. Right after a Steelers-Colts game in Baltimore (Bert Jones era), a plane crashed into the upper deck at Memorial Stadium. I don't think anyone was killed or seriously hurt, but I still remember the newspaper picture of showing the plane crashed into the stands through the goal posts with a headline like "3 points" or something like that. Steelers destroyed the Colts so a lot of people had left before the game was over.
  5. they could be clinching tonight. UGH ! But instead I feel that if they don't win tonight, that we have to hope the Vikings stumble at least one more time. Lets not leave it up to another team's fortune........go and get it. I feel like the division is on the line tonight Man, if only the Raiders could have scored 4 of their 63 last week.
  6. What a win for Teddy. He comes back after almost losing his leg, and in his last few years gets to make millions without getting beat up.
  7. Lions, The Bengals gave you a huge Christmas present. WIN THIS GAME and, well, you clinch a tie (in number of wins) with the Vikings at the worst.
  8. Cats helping Cats.
  9. I think he's part of the equation, but I think Brady is the lions share of it. As Buddha says, great defensive coach, but this idea that he is such a great Head Coach is bunk. If he was, he would have been able to recover from Brady's departure by now. Plus - either every knows he cheats and are prepared for that or everyone else is cheating like him now. It's like how every other GM in the NHL started scouting Europe and suddenly Ken Holland wasn't such a great GM anymore. I don't think he's close to the greats like Noll, Shula, Lombardi, Walsh and Fontes. I'd put him in the next group with guys like Holmgren, Reid, Cowher and Bobby "Womp Womp" Ross.
  10. They wouldn't let me on the Facebook neighborhood group and I think it's because my profile picture, at the time, was Liam Gallagher's face all cut up (he fell out of a helicopter and face-planted).
  11. The one on Outer Drive? I know the one on Michigan Ave by Staples is gone as is the one at Ecorse & Monroe.
  12. Belichick is as overrated as Joe Torre and Phil Jackson, who only won when they had a bunch of All-Stars to manage. If you ask me, and I know you're not, I think the best coach of modern NFL football is Chuck Noll. When he took that job in Pittsburgh the Steelers had been a laughing stock for over 30 years. They were a joke of a franchise and since then that organization has rarely ever had a truly bad season. A bad season for them is going .500. Not only did he win, he set them up to keep winning. They've only had 7 seasons under .500 since 1972 and only twice did they do it 2 years in a row
  13. That says a lot., Honestly, you could make a case that when Brady left New England that a rebuild had to begin, but he's had plenty of time to start building into something by now and it's only getting worse. 1. Brady 2. Cheating
  14. Just look at the flowers, Pistons, just look at the flowers
  15. Belichick needs to walk away from it all. Look, he has more rings than any other coach in history, but I really do wonder how much of it was truly him and how much was Brady. Plus, the cheating, which was normal for him. He got caught cheating against the Bengals when their record was something like 1-13. If he cheats against the worst team, he's probably doing it all the time. Plus - his coaching tree - a never-ending string of arrogant failures. If Bill was so great, wouldn't that rub off on at least SOME of his proteges? And never forget, he made Matt Patricia a Co-offensive coordinator. What a joke.
  16. Guiliani put those election workers' lives in jeopardy because of the nutballs who support Trump. They deserve every penny of the $148,000,000, but I doubt they get more than a few thousand.
  17. I can see them taking 2 of the 6 starters and using them as a tandem. My guess is Mize will be very limited at first, so he'll always go just 3 innings, maybe 4 if the first 3 were easy and then Olson always coming in and pitching a few more innings. Anyway, we're looking at 6 pitchers with a legit claim as being starters, the last 2 years have taught us we're going to need a few more. I'd say probably have 9 in mind from the start. Flaherty helps them go a long way if he can stay healthy and even pitch average baseball.
  18. He won't be the Chargers next Coach. No way, The Spanos family won't spend that money. They'll hire another coordiantor. I know I mentioned Lincoln Riley, but they won't pay that. I have no idea who the Chargers will hire. Which jobs will be open New England Washington Carolina LA Chargers Chicago (maybe) Atlanta (maybe) New Orleans (maybe) Of all of those, I think Washtington is the best one for Harbaugh because they want to make a big splash and return that team to greatness - it's been a sad 25+ years there - very Lionesque. Harbaugh is a bit like Billy Martin - he's odd, he's annoying, he'll wear out his welcome, but if you want to turn a team around - he's your guy. New England could make him a huge offer. The Chargers won't spend the money Carolina is a graveyard - No coach with any viable options would take this dumpster fire of a job. They will take on a retread I don't think Saleh's out in New York. Between NOLA-ATL-TB, the two coaches who don't win the division are likely out.
  19. People are already speculating Bill Belichick to the Chargers. LOL.
  20. Keep in mind, I thought the same think about Mikie Mahtook too - and if the Tigers has better coaching staff back then he could have been a better player, but I really like Vierling. The guy is solid at 4 positions and could probably even play First if needed.
  21. So Skubal-Maeda-Manning-Mize-Flaherty with Olsen-Gipson Long-Madden-Flores-Wentz on stand by. Okay, Not sure Mize is gonna be much this year (based on Fulmer & Turnbull's returns) I think Vierling was the best player in that trade last year and I think he's going to develop into a pretty good and pretty useful player. I think he's close to locking-in.
  22. 63-21. Wow. And Brandon Staley is a defensive-oriented coach. I know there are only 3 games left for the Chargers, but I can't see, with a 10 day break, how he can remain Head Coach. They should have canned him last year. Can we get the Spanos family out of the NFL and move the Chargers back to San Diego? Or even San Antonio? Someplace that actually wants them. That's an awful lot of wasted talent on that team. I guess it doesn't matter if it's now or January, the Chargers are guaranteed a losing season now. Some had them going to the Super Bowl. Not with that coach. Wouldn't be surprised if Lincoln Riley ended up there, but of course, the Spanos family is "poor?" and can't pay for a big time coach.
