  1. My argument for Trayvon Martin. HE was the one standing his ground, not George Zimmerman. Zimmerman attacked him. Flat-out attacked him. He had absolutely no authority to demand ANYTHING of Trayvon Martin and the kid ignored him and Zimmerman turned it into a physical confrontation, and the kid defended himself. So because he was a better fighter or in better shape then suddenly he's the bad guy? Trayvon Martin was probably told when he was a kid not to talk to strangers - how did he know that Zimmerman wasn't some kind of pervert? Zimmerman was told by the police dispatcher not to approach, to watch and wait for the cops. If guys in badges show up, the kid probably talks to them and explains what he's doing and where his dad lives. It still makes me sick that the racist bastard walks free. But then again, it's Florida. Casey Anthony doesn't even look for her kid for 31 days and didn't even call the cops herself, her mom did. If you are a dog owner and your dog gets out of the yard, do you wait 31 days to look for it? That's all I would need to know right there, but you know..............Florida. "Turning Ahmaud Arbery into a victim after the choices that he made does not reflect the reality of what brought Ahmaud Arbery to Satilla Shores in his khaki shorts with no socks to cover his long, dirty toenails" That comes courtesy of a racist pig of an attorney named Laura Hogue. (I won't use the real word I am thinking in describing this piece of garbage). What was the reality, Pig? What did he do that should have resulted in his death? He walked in a house under construction. I've done that. I know quite a few people who have done that. He stole nothing. He was running. Is that a crime? He grabbed for the guy's gun? What would YOU do if you thought someone was about to kill you? What the fuck was this toenail reference about?
  2. I was a big fan of the Matz. I like that they got to re-do the Don't Tell A Soul album the way the originally wanted to do it back in 1988. It brings out the rough edges the band is known for. They were really good songs, just a bit to polished.
  3. If the NBA was really smart, they would have either supsended them for a length of time PAST their upcoming rematch, or suspended the two of them for that game. I don't think Beef Stew was actually going after LeBron.
  4. Translation: "I am just telling you what you want to hear with nothing concrete to back it up." Like the Bears ownership saying "We have no plans to dismiss Matt Nagy as Head Coach"
  5. Keyworth seems like a good fit and DCFC draws very well, but that fan base will lose their shit if a pro football team plays there. My guess would be Wayne State. And I would be surprised if it lasted a second year, but we'll see.
  6. No way this team will ever play at Ford Field.
  7. But own market.........They are the MICHIGAN Panthers, not the Detroit Panthers. NFL is getting pissy already over Panthers. The USFL had it first. Possible venues include..... Jimmy John's Field in Utica, Cap. 4,500 Wayne State (Tom Adams Field) Cap. 6,439 (where do they get 39 from.......can squeeze an extra body in there?) Rynearson Stadium (EMU) Cap 30,000 Keyworth Stadium (DCFC - Hamtramck) Cap. 7,933 Silverdome Parking lot - The ground can't be any harder than it was with a layer of carpet on a slab of cement. Any other possible venues? Old Tiger Stadium site with some seating added? Could this be the catalyst for a multi-use stadium that brings elite pro soccer back?
  8. Do you think the Panthers quarterback (I predict Shea Patterson) will be better than Goff/Boyle/Blough) ?
  9. Birmingham Stallions Houston Gamblers Michigan Panthers New Jersey Generals New Orleans Breakers Philadelphia Stars Pittsburgh Maulers Tampa Bay Bandits Surprised Oakland, San Diego and St. Louis weren't part of it
  10. USFL announced their 8 teams..............and the Michigan Panthers are one of them AWESOME !!!!!! Where will they play? Don't know yet. I'd bet on Wayne State, but the MICHIGAN Panthers could mean Grand Rapids too.
  11. But at #1 there might be that player that some time HAS to have. Depends on the return. Maybe Philly sees the one guy they covet, that they think can put them over the top - and you can get their 2 Top Ten picks.
  12. Momma jokes are a penalty now? Boy, Conrad Dobler would struggle in today's game.
  13. I don't want the Lions picking #1. I want them trading down for 2 or 3 picks. They don't need one guy, they need 15. I know that people are saying the QB isn't there this year, but we all know that the QBs will rise, rise, rise by draft day and 3 of them will probably get taken in the Top 10. Denver, Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Washington, Houston - will all be looking for QBs. If the Lions don't fall in love with one, wait or make a trade that can still get you one a little further down in the draft. Kenny Pickett looks like the out-of-nowhere guy this year.
  14. I didn't mean Clint Frazier for us, but I think someone could give him a real shot. We have a couple of our own versions of him right now with Reyes and Dazzer. He can get over the Vertigo issues. I did when I had it. He struggled early - in New York - for the Yankees...............that's a lot of pressure. I think a mellower place without Yankee expectations might do him well. I still think he can be a good player. He did have a .394 OBP playing in 2/3rds of their games in 2020. He also was on a 20+ home run pace that year. He could flourish with a team like the A's or Rangers. In a place like New York if you get off to a bad start, it can snowball really fast.
  15. Once you cross state lines to COMMIT A CRIME, you can be charged Federally, not just at the State level. He went there looking for trouble.
  16. Nobody was getting killed until he crossed state lines and shot people in "Self-defense". If he was black he'd have gotten life in prison.
  17. Any reason yet given for the driver in the Waukesha Christmas Parade? Was it a drunk driver? Road Rage? Or a planned attack? Just sick. Can't do normal things anymore.
  18. Can they nail him with Federal charges? He did cross state lines.
  19. Next time the Pistons play the Lakers and LeBron drives the lane, I hope Beef Stew decapitates him with a clothesline.
  20. And nobody is giving Michigan State credit for tying Ohio State in the second half yesterday. Buncha Debbie Downers.
  21. The highlight (and lowlight) of Campbell's Lions career was his opening press conference.
  22. Brilliant play to end the half Fire Campbell. I've seen enough. I don't need to see much more.
