There is a little 9-hole Par 3 golf course not far from Vegas' airport. Before catching a flight back I played a round with my 2 friends who are much more experienced and better golfers than I am and we did the whole closest to the pin gets a buck for each hole. I won. Mostly because I don't hit it far and it was a hot, dry day and the ball was bouncing, so they aimed for the pin and overshot it, all I did was hit the ball, I know I don't have aim. For amateurs golf is one of those games where the less you think about it, the better you probably will play. On a real course with Par 4s and Par 5s they would have destroyed me.

When building a team you have to estimate when that team will start peaking an d every move you make must be with that year or group of years in mind. For the Lions, like the Tigers and Wings, it's 2024. Stay the course, if it doesn't work, the next guys will build for 2027. Don't do something splashy and foolish that could only turn a 6-11 team to an 8-9 team. 17 game records just look so odd.

Torkelson and Greene haven't yet made the team according to AJ Hinch. Okay, technically this is true. They won't officially make the team until April 7th, but lets be honest here, they've made the team. I'm still going to the Mud Hens opener.

Atlanta, Carolina and Seattle and even Pittsburgh are desperate for a QB. Marcus Mariota and Mitch Trubisky are placeholders. Malik Wills' stock is rising quickly (as QBs do right before the draft). Either Jax makes a deal, which would give the Lions Hutchinson or the Lions might be able to make a deal. So what if they slide down to 6, 8, or 9 - they can probably pick up an extra 2nd round pick this year and a 1st round pick next year. That's the dream scneario. 6 picks in the first 3 rounds this year, 3 first rounders next year. That's how you build a team quickly (if you draft right). I think Baker Mayfield ends up in Houston as Davis Mills Insurance and Jimmy G signs with Seattle to be a placeholder for their next guy.

You know the Lions have taken Sewell aside and asked him about Kayvon and asked him to be honest. I think that's who they are taking at #2 unless they can maybe move down and pick up an extra draft pick or two. Or maybe Sewell has told them he wasn't a good teammate and to avoid him.
