Man,  that is a GREAT comparison.   

It's time for some changes.   If they're fragile little egos can't handle it, then they never belonged here in the first place.   Meadows and Torkleson and Keith too.     A steady diet of Tony Packo's would do them wonders.    They sure don't belong here.   Earn it.      I'd rather have Canha at first and Perez in the OF.    We have 6 guys who can play Second. 

But A.J. knows best, right?       I think even if these guys did bang on garbage cans they still couldn't hit.

And why did Canha sit today.........he couldn't DH?    He's one of their hottest hitters.   A team that can't hit a beach ball, you need to play your best hitters regardless.

I wish the Cardinals still had those blue road uniforms.  I loved those as a kid.      A lot of teams went with the light blue.  

Wonder what the City Connect uniforms will look like for the Tigers.   I have seen the hat. 

To me any Tiger home uni without the Olde English D is a fraud.    I get Los Tigres and Detroit Stars unforms,. but that's it !

While I don't disagree with you either, this gets back to my next concern.  When prosecutors start using this new tool to go after parents and we find it's being used in inner cities more regularly and there is a demand from the democratic party to move away from it because it affects minorities disproportionately.  

Not if the kids keep getting shot with loose guns.  I think a lot of people in the minority population are actually clamoring for that. I think a lot of people are sick of idiots giving everyone else a bad rep.    Storing something up high where a kdi can't reach doesn't seem to be too much to ask.     Don't see too many minority mass/spree shooters.    A few here and there but it's mostly white people (who seem to believe that are entitled to have everything they want and when they don't get it - someone needs to suffer for it, usually some kind of targeted group - minorities, gays, women).     I don't think a lot of minorities have that kind of expectation to start with.    Candians have more guns per person than we do and they don't have this problem because I think they tend to be more pragmatic about life (and Canadians aren't nearly as greedy as Americans, but that's starting to change). 

We're going after adults who don't secure their guns..........or actually supply them to their kids.  I think this is wonderful. 

Now,  lets start going after people who provide guns to people who are not allowed to legally own them.   Like the MSU killer.  Where did he get the gun?   He wasn't supposed to have it.  Where did he get it?    Did he steal it?  Buy it at a pawn shop?  Buy it on the street?   Don't know, but the person who sold or gave it to him needed to be prosecuted.  Just because that piece of **** is dead doesn't mean the investigation should end.    

Boy, does this nail what current Commercial Pop Country sounds like to me.    

Why did they postpone this game.  My driveway is barely even wet !

I feel like Levi is not going to be  on the team this season.        I don't think this is a staff that holds on to him just to not look bad.   I think you either contribute or you're gone.   They liked Buggs, but they cut him loose.  Couldn't use him.   Seems like Levi has dropped on the depth chart rather quickly.    Health is a big reason why.    

Because my theory is you can't get a feel for a player for at least 3 years (some say 4),  These are my grades for the 2021 Detroit Lions Draft.

1st Round -  Needs to be a major contributor by year 2

2nd Round -  Needs to be a starter or rotational guy (double-digit snaps per weeK)

3rd Round -  Needs to be a plus player.   

4th Round -  Need to be a depth player you can count on from time to time

5th Round - If they can at least contribute on Special Teams,  Fine

6th Round / 7th Round -  If they can stick with the team at all for a season, It's positive

ROUND 1 - OT PENEI SEWELL   A+     One of the best in the game 

ROUND 2 - DT  LEVI ONWUZURIKE   D    Injuries derailed him (but they knew about that when they took him)

ROUND 3 -  DT  ALIM McNEIL  A+   A bona fide runstopper with more athleticism than his physique.  

ROUND 3  CB  IFFY MELIFONWU  B   Was a ghost until middle of last year and then looked great.  Tough position to learn, it takes time.  Sample size is too small for an  A

ROUND 4  WR AMON-RA ST. BROWN  A+    One of the best receivers in football.  Mr. Reliable and a drive that fits this staff perfectly.  This guy is the heart of the team on the players side.  

ROUND 4  LB  DERRICK BARNES  B.   Like Iffy, it's a tough position to learn quickly but we finally saw flashes of what he could be and he should get better

ROUND 7 RB JAMAR JEFFERSON   B    He gets a B because of where he was drafted.  He made the team and made some plays.  Can't ask for much more from a 7th rounder, honestly.  

A-

This was the best Lions draft BY FAR in my memory (going back to about 1977, 78).   The only thing that prevents it from getting an A+ was they continued the tradition of bad 2nd round picks, but that seemed to get corrected the next year.   They covered their mistake by taking the same position in round 3.       I mean, 3 All-Pro level players.    If only they'd nailed the 2nd round in 2021.  

2024 left me a little puzzled, but so did last year.

It’s funny you mention podcast hosts about Vierling.  There were podcast hosts that slurped Soto’s credentials, and I just couldn’t understand it.  Again, throws hard, great stuff, can’t throw strikes.  So, great, two time all star, mostly to fulfill the every team represented requirement.  Whatever.

I think right now that Vierling looks comfortable enough at 3B and the plate to play him more often than not right now.  Greene, Canha, and Carpenter should be in the lineup every day hitting 1 through 3.  Perez seems to have a bit of a spurt right now.  Vierling is an everyday player right now.  Heck, maybe that’s the top 5 in the order right now?

Can he play first base?         Honestly, I just don't know how much more Torkelson we need to see at first.  He's brutal. 

Watching through the Bally's app and I get drug commercials in Spanish and I like them.   The music is awesome and I love how when they say the drug name the Spanish accent goes away.
