It would be nice if Tork could go north with the team out of Spring Training.  If he can share 1B and DH with Miggy then Schoop can stay at 2nd.  I don't like Schoop at 1B.

We didn't use baseball cards thankfully.  We used playing cards.  If we used baseball cards they would have been 1950's Topps and I would still be crying over that.

Signing Boyd would be like signing Verlander.  Too many unknowns but more so with JV since its more serious.  It will be interesting to see how the Tigers handle this.  They might offer a contract with a lot of incentives?  I doubt they want to see him leave but they probably won't pay a lot up front either.  It will obviously be up to Boyd if he thinks he could do better somewhere else.  It might not matter if they have a labor stoppage.  He could be ready to go when the season starts.

I thought Shep and Morris were especially hard to take last night.  It was painful!.  Morris needs to remember he is not a Journalist and stop trying to be one when interviewing people like Avila.  He asks the dumbest questions.  I think Al could make a blockbuster move by trading both these guys for a part time hot dog vendor.  It would be a huge win for the Tigers.

I heard that Boyd is having Flexor Tendon surgery and it normally takes 6 to 9 months to heal.  Since he's in his last year of arbitration the Tigers may not offer him a contract and he would be a free agent.  This is very bad timing for Boyd.

This debacle escalated even further.  After Kiermaier got HBP, Charlie Montoyo and the pitcher have been suspended.  All because the catcher can't keep track of his paperwork.  I don't know why they would intentionally hit Kiermaier because everyone was waiting for it.

Even if they lose their last 10 games (which they won't) this season has to be considered a success for them and I would say unexpected.  Most fans lost faith in April and expected another 50 win season.  They turned it around to win and sweep a lot of series from top teams.  It leaves us with a lot of hope for next year if they can sort out their labor agreement.  For the fans they need to get that done quickly.

This is probably the best option if Correa is not available.  I would still like to see what Kreidler can do.  Tigers don't need to get into another huge contract with no results like they did with Zimmerman.  Spending big doesn't always mean success as San Diego has proven.

Baseball used to be such a simple game.  Now they have to take a playbook into the field with them.

I think someone like Correa or Seager would want a long term deal and wouldn't sign for just a couple years. In that case maybe move Kriedler to 2nd if he's the real deal?

They must think its like golf and you are supposed to police yourselves....yeah right!

Mookie Betts did a good deed a few days ago getting TJ Friedl's first MLB hit and home run ball back from a fan in the stands.  He traded his own signed bat for the ball. That's a pretty good trade for the fan.

I think he might of been taken in a Rule 5 draft. He's been with other teams besides Cleveland after leaving Detroit.

You would think that will all of the IF players Avila has taken in trade there would have been someone who could play SS.  One thing is evident though and that is Willy Castro isn't the answer at this time or probably ever.

Signing JV after TJ surgery is a huge risk.  As much as I want to see him back in a Tiger uniform that money is better spent somewhere else.

I say go big or stay home. If they can't get Correa or even Seager they work on other areas with FA. Story and Semien don't look like what Tigers need to move to next level of competition.  

I always thought Gose was a victim of Ausmus inability to manage.  Hope he does well.

I think they will get 78 wins.  .500 is out of the question in my opinion.

I don't know if he's the answer or not but it would've been nice if he'd gotten a chance this year to see.  If they are going to spend big on a SS they could put that money somewhere else if Kreidler was the answer.  When or if they sign someone we'll never know.
