Carpenter in 2025:
- vs RHP: .257/.300/.512, 120 sOPS+ in 401 PA
- vs LHP: .217/.238/.400, 78 sOPS+ in 63 PA
Defense:
- Fielding Run Value: -3 (30th percentiles)
- Range/OAA: -3 (21st %);
- Arm Value: -1 (43rd %)
Kerry Carpenter has been quite good enough for us the past couple of years, but make no mistake, he is not Mr. Right. He’s Mr. Right Now.
You can see how few ABs he's had against LHP. He has had some key hits against them and I wouldn't take him out against LHP. Every time Hinch does he falls into the trap set by the opposing mgr taking one of, if not their best hitter out of the game.

History hurts, so called conservatives a hell bent on white washing it
How soon one forgets that your pals were tearing down statues from the Civil War era and trying to eliminate mention of anyone who owned slaves. We didn't hear anything about "History hurts" then. The looney left is so absorbed into manipulating anything they can to hate President Trump they are making themselves look bad.

I know others have suggested it, but I wonder what Carpenter would fetch in a trade. Given his defense and big platoon split, he really hurts roster construction.
Also, what do we do with Jung, Lee, and Anderson? I don’t mind Anderson in the Ibanez role, but all 3 are not good enough to start but too good to give away. Jung especially needs a change of scenery I think.
I don't know how much he would bring in a trade but I think he would do fine against LH pitchers if Hinch played him regular instead of benching him all the time. He has shown some good results against LHP so its another bad managerial decision. He isn't a gold glove fielder but his defense is sufficient too. They need his bat in the lineup since he is the only player on the team that opposing managers fear at the plate.

Stop...you are ruining it for the followers here that think the democrats do no wrong.

It was said by a poster here that they've been to Democratic meetings and they never talk about helping people. I'm here at our 12th Congressional District meeting and we're talking with our Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib about how we can donate to local food panties and help people effected by the Republican government shutdown and Republican SNAP benefit cuts.
This is a meeting for the public so the Hamas supporter is going to tell the people what they want to hear and their blind supporters dont realize they are blowing smoke up their butts. The functions I was talking about are the democrat conventions and nomination meetings. Big difference in case you don't know.

The Democrats definitely do care about the working people of America, even if part of the reason is to earn their support in the democratic marketplace of ideas.
We all know who it is the Republicans care about, and it ain't the people who have to work for a living.
Believe it or not, I have been to a lot of democrat functions and conventions. They never once talked about helping people, it was all about getting elected and gaining power.

I am not unhappy with the results last night. I don't think it was that big of a deal to elect a few democrats in traditionally blue areas. I can see the spotlight being on them for future elections, especially the guy in NYC. He will be the star of campaign ads for the GOP.

Again with the projection here. It's not the Democrats holding anybody hostage—it's the Republicans using working people of modest means and small business entrepreneurs as weapons to get Democrats to completely capitulate to their agenda.
Does anyone remember Superman II, the movie? Terence Stamp played the villain (Doctor Zod, was it?) who was fighting against Superman so he could destroy the earth. At one point Dr. Zod thinks he knows how to defeat Superman because he's discovered his weakness: he actually cares about the people of earth. He thought he could use that as leverage to get Superman to swear his allegiance to Dr. Zod. (I still remember the woman working with Dr. Zod saying about Superman, "Ha! Sentimental fool!")
The Republicans are Dr. Zod, using people who need affordable healthcare and will get sick and die without it to get the Democrats, who actually care about the people who need affordable healthcare, to swear an allegiance to them and their sick, rapacious agenda.
We'll see if the Democrats can win by throwing the Republicans down the crevice, or whatever that gaping hole was.
I don't think the democrats care about anybody. They just want to use people and especially the lesser knowledgeable people to gain power.
As for healthcare, it is a mess. The cost of healthcare in the US is out of this world and something needs to be done. That something is not throw more money at subsidizing insurance. All they see is more government money coming in so lets raise prices even higher. They need to get the prices of healthcare under control and stop gouging. One thing that gets me is that I pay a lot of money in property taxes. Those taxes pay for our police and fire dept. That includes the buildings, manpower costs, equipment and supplies. If I call an ambulance I will get a bill for $1000 to $2000 that will go my health insurance provider. The taxpayers have already paid for this so why do they do this? Because they can get away with it. Its just one of the little things that add up that needs to stop.

Trump's lockout is killing Americans
Its not the Republicans that are bringing BS baggage that is holding up a CR. The government shutdown is 1000% on democrats and crying chuck.

Calling Democrats “hostage-takers” ignores reality: the GOP can’t even get enough votes on its own bill. Procedural math > political blame.
Its a CR, there is nothing to negotiate so yes that is democrats holding the country hostage for the pet projects.

Republicans control both chambers, but somehow it’s the Democrats “holding the country hostage”? That’s like blaming the passenger when the driver runs out of gas.
Because they need 60 votes to pass the CR and all but one democrat keeps voting no. I haven't seen how everyone voted in the latest vote but I think in past votes all Republicans except one or two voted yes so it is the democrats holding the country hostage.

The country is being held hostage by crying chuck and the democrats. If they cared about the working people not getting paid and the people on SNAP they would pass the CR.

"Great" lineup of endorsers for Cuomo. Wouldn't want Zohran though. He'd be bad for NYC.
mamdami is very good for the Republican party. If he gets elected his entire term is going to be a rolling commercial for how much better the Republicans are for the country. We can sit back and watch NY go even farther in the toilet.

Declined since when?
Since they have been run by democrats. Same as the Biden did during his reign of disaster.
-
I actually hope mamdami does win. We will have a front row seat watching the democrats destroy NYC so it will hurt their chances in future elections. NYC is already a liberal cesspool so nothing lost. All these cities run by democrats have declined and the voters are somehow fooled by their line of BS to keep electing them and asking for an even bigger disaster.

Watching Tigers Territory today. They said early Vegas pennant odds have Detroit 8th in the AL. Maybe they expect Skubal gone, or more likely, they see the holes on the team. Probably factoring in both. They stressed that it shows Det needs to take steps this off-season to improve. Also has me pondering throwing small wager on Detroit now.
If Skubal was traded this winter the Tigers should get at least two established players and a prospect or two. If Harris trades Skubal for a couple of highly rated but unproven prospects he should be fired. The idea of trading Skubal this winter is to get the best return. They will be able to get prospects in July.

Its nice that there are still a few people willing to do the right thing for the people instead of following a political party that just want power no matter how they have to get it.

The Epstein files were under seal by a judge until 2024, but what I find interesting in this why didn’t Biden release them, wasn’t Trump supposed to be the one to expose the Democrats by releasing these files? Basically you’re saying Trump is corrupt like the you claim the Democrats are.
If there was a hint of Trump in the Epstein files the democrats would have released them and publicized it anyway and everyway possible.

Democrats support a candidate that has a Nazi symbol tattoo on his chest and a terrorist supporting muslim for mayor of NYC. When you post stupid things like this you can't even be taken seriously. The only thing this political section if good for is getting a laugh and making fun of kids posting the same thing over and over again

Trumps Presidency 2025
in Politics

I get it now, you just pick and choose what history you want to accept. You and your backslappers can do no wrong. Someone else can do the same thing and they are bad bad bad. Its all about what you want slant against the President Trump. Mental Health professionals must be very busy with the looney left these days. Trump Derangement Syndrome is real and very evident here.
