  1. there's a lot going on in that run on sentence. 😛
  2. i must be hanging in the wrong circles, because i know a lot of religious people and none of them believe this stuff. but most of the religious people i know are pretty well educated.
  3. two questions about that law: 1) why would they be talking to first and second graders about sex and sexual orientation? theyre too young for that to be taught to then in school. 2) i imagine no one was really doing that, and this is simply a political overreaction designed to get attention for republicans (duh). 3) (one more thing...) the biggest problem with the law is the fuzzy language at the end of that paragraph that is open to interpretation. and by, open to interpretation, i mean that it could be interpreted that teachers are not allowed to teach about sexual orientation in any capacity should it be deemed not "age appropriate." as with most hastily written, poorly thought out laws (i.e.: "laws"), it will be used and abused by lawyers to make a ton of money for themselves and for politicians to bring a ton kf attention to themselves, to no benefit to the public.
  4. losing allen houston killed that team.
  5. welp....was nice to have ya robbi. he was just starting to grow on me too.
  6. this likely wont be pretty. wings draft stock rising!
  7. i also went to catholic school, had religion classes every day, and science classes, and was never taught that either. we learned evolutionary theory just like everyone else. i suspect almost every kid in catholic school now does too.
  8. teams can fudge the cap all they want.
  9. ive been in the legal business for a long time, and if its one thing i can assure you, its that when people smell a pay day, the come from everywhere to get it.
  10. bears get a second this year and a sixth in 2023. chargers eat the whole contract, which is massive. bears went for it while they were on trubisky's rookie deal. it got them to 13-3, a division title, and a double doink away from the nfc title game. but pace gutted that team by constantly trading draft picks and trusting matt nagy (and andy dalton, and nick foles, and mike glennon...paying each of them a lot of money).
  11. and then our esteemed "prosecutor" goes off defending him and criticizing the decision in a sun times op ed. she really doesnt understand that she is the PROSECUTOR and not a public defender. last time she ran, the machine put multiple white candidates against her to make sure to divide the white vote so she would win, i wonder if they do that again in 2 years? lol. of course they will, what am i thinking?
  12. always crying victim. lying sack of crap. too bad 313 isnt here anymore to tell us all how bussie was telling the truth.
  13. i really dont like that minnesota team.
  14. vrana is what zadina was supposed to be. vrana shoots at the corners, zadina just fires it right at the goalie's chest.
  15. bears allegedly about to trade khalil mack to the chargers...
  16. my only reservation on williams is that he plays safety. not a premium position. but like you say, he's a good player and he's young. makes me think he'll have a lot of suitors.
  17. bobby wagner and marcus williams seem like pipe dreams. people talk about aaron glenn and i get that, but glenn is going to be a head coach somewhere else next year most likely. i suspect williams will sign with whatever team breaks the bank for him. do we want the lions to break the bank this year?
  18. players dont like to miss checks. when it gets into serious check missing time, the majority of the union will cave. none of the issues they were squabbling about were serious enough to make them want to miss anymore checks.
  19. i dont think this is true at all. i think juwan has been a really good coach and running pro schemes. the problem this year was roster construction and they were left with no wing players, only freshmen. houstan turned out to be "just a shooter." they lost two and a half nba players off last year's team and replaced them with true freshmen. we'll see what they look like in the near future, but juwan isnt going anywhere unless he has another meltdown.
  20. cutting him NOW is beneficial to the player, right? i read this as the lions doing flowers a solid. if they dont designate him a post june 1 cut then his cap hit is split between this year and next year, if he is a post june 1 cut it all goes to next year. right? i could have that wrong. if so, and theyre taking more of the cap hit this year, maybe it indicates the lions are going to spend more next year when flowers will be off the books and the peice for cutting goff is lower? not sure.
