  1. this is who javy has always been. he's just in a prolonged slump right now. he'll have two weeks where he slugs .600 and all the pro-javy people will be back to say "i told you so."
  2. let's remember it for the next draft and the choice is between a high school pitcher and a position player.
  3. were definitely winning the AAAA championship this year.
  4. god bless charles.
  5. i left my binoculars at home.
  6. avila should resign. its his team and its sucked every year he's been gm.
  7. does sam presti have a license yo rebuild forever because he once drafted harden/durant/westbrook and won 0 titles with them?
  8. why would kenny atkinson take that gig?
  9. yup
  10. usful idot, youre exaggerating a lot. but im sure you know this.
  11. i dont know if youre terrible or not, i just know youre being ridiculous or short sighted.
  12. i'm not thr biggest baez fan but comparing him to neifi is just stupid. prove you wrong? javy was 2nd in mvp voting a few years ago. consider yourself wrong.
  13. what a brilliant goal by tampa.
  14. they could cut him after next year and it wont cost them a ton. if they keep him, they gotta pay him like $30 million, i think. that's a lot for a backup qb, but they might want him around to break the new fella in. or they could sign an andy dalton-type for about 1/3 of that.
  15. based on more than last year. he wasnt very good at the end in LA either.
  16. maybe. pff ranked him the fourth worst starting qb in the league. below justin fields, daniel jones, etc. goff is a nice stop gap guy whose contract will be easy to get out of in a year. hopefully they can upgrade by then.
  17. the sports program at um adds a ton of cachet to the school. i know um presidents like to talk all high and mighty about divorcing it from their academic mission, but its not going anywhere, even if it does become officially professionalized.
  18. im not sure getting rid of college football will play well in the south. they have to find a way to keep those institutions involved or youre going to end up with a usfl/xfl type situation where people appreciate the novelty, but no one really cares.
  19. they need to become employees of the university, unionize, and sign a cba with the ncaa. without uniform rules that can be upheld in courts, there will continue to be the wild west out there.
  20. not sure it will generate interest without the college attachment. minor league baseball isnt going around generating tons of money for mlb. draft and follow might be a better alternative. like they do in hockey.
  21. why would the nfl pay for what it can get for free?
  22. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/33942494/alabama-football-coach-nick-saban-says-texas-bought-every-player-questions-whether-current-nil-model-sustainable nick saban complaining that texas a & m bought their recruiting class. i mean, he's right, they did. but nick saban? from alabama? what's next, ryan day complaining that texas a & m players dont have to go to class?
  23. good showing by moussa.
  24. big ten needs to stop dicking around and go to a 16 or 20 team conference. match the sec and take it up a notch. but it wont, because its a slow bureaucracy run by short sighted bureaucrats who want to get paid and not risk anything.
