He’s looking out for his constituency, which is very scared and angry right now and looking for answers. This is what any good senator should do.

Your hypothetical doesn’t even make sense. Noem is not a sitting senator and Padilla is not with the DHS, so get out of here with the both sides ****. I wouldn’t want any US senator to be thrown to the ground and cuffed in this situation. The DHS said they reacted this way because they didn’t know who he was, which is a total lie. He outted who he was over and over, and Noem knows who he is very well. He’s the top Democrat on the judiciary subcommittee for immigration. None of this passes the smell test.
