We need a 3rd baseman, a shortstop, a 2nd baseman, a 1st baseman and a power hitting outfielder. There's not enough available players to get all of them. Scott Harris hasn't been very impressive. We want Al Avila back!! 😅😅

    I miss Jim Campbell.

So, I think we’re not sure on how many outs there were at that point. With two men on at that point, wasn’t there already one out? I recalled that it was. Putting a guy on first then would have loaded the bases with one out. That would have provided a chance for a double play on a ball on the infield. I realize it would have to be turned cleanly but other than that, they were toast anyway at that point.

So I check the boxscore and there were no outs. My mistake.

Another game with a stupid huge strike zone. Really ready for ABS.

Listening to several games in the evenings, I can’t recall a time when the broadcasters have been more outspoken about the inept umpiring at the plate. It is crazy right now.

Too many guaranteed outs in this lineup. At a minimum, Tork needs to be in Toledo, because he's worthless right now. Hinch not sending him down to protect his confidence doesn't seem to be helping his confidence. Finding his swing and raking at AAA just might. This is a game they absolutely should've won but their offense sucks so bad.

Agree. The team is bigger than Tork and if something has to change that impacts him, too bad. The team's confidence is the bigger consideration.

My sister is part of this group.  She sent a pic of Jason and Craig.

I actually called about this trip not long after it was posted on the site. I inquired as to where the seats were located for the games. The lady I had a conversation with about the trip details did not know the location of the seats. Do you have any idea about the seat location(s) for the games?

  7. The Tigers Fans Vacation tour will attend this series. Recently the Tigers, in cooperation with a travel agency(s) do two road trips per year. This one was two days in Cooperstown in addition to all three games versus the Yankees. It also included one full day in NY City to do whatever you preferred.

I’m sure it would be a lot of fun. All travel, tickets, and lodging are covered to and from New York.

The second trip this year is in August to when the Tigers visit San Francisco. That itinerary looks like a good one as well.

The goal is obvious. It is to get Trump elected. It is no coincidence these protests escalated as soon as Trump's trial started. There more media attention on the protests than on Trump's trial.

Iran attacked Israel on April 13th. Trump’s trial began on the 15th. Israel retaliated to Iran’s attack of the 13th on April 19th.
I believe your comment above is beyond anything that be proven at this point considering the other events outside Trump’s trial. The attack and counter attack between Iran and Israel are far more relevant to the ongoing protests than Trump’s trial.

It's an election year and these kids or being influenced by disinformation from the likes of Russia and Iran. It's also no coincidence these protests escalated at a Manhattan university the moment Trump's Manhattan trial started.

The following was clipped from a current piece in the Carolina Journal. Russia nor Iran has anything to do with this national fiasco happening on campuses. The very schools dealing with these protests are realizing the fruit of their own labor.

    Carolina Journal piece below:

“For years, anti-Israel faculty have indoctrinated students to vilify Israel and dehumanize Jews. This is outright antisemitism. When Hamas attacked Israel in 2021, 110 UNC faculty and 75 Duke faculty signed a letter siding with Hamas. Language has been changed so that the word “terrorism” is now “resistance” and thus justified, as long as Jews are the target.  Students are taught that a country called “Palestine” exists, when it does not; that there is an occupation, where there is none; and more.

Jewish history is erased and delegitimized. When Jewish leaders and community members repeatedly voiced their concerns to both the University of North Carolina and Duke University, the administrations shrugged.

Activism has now become part of the curriculum in our state, even in K-12 schools. In the Chapel Hill-Carrboro school district for example, the strategic plan includes social justice action, which is not clearly defined. It’s no surprise then that students coming to campus expect to participate in social action, whatever the cause. Since so many faculty, including the UNC Faculty for Justice in Palestine, push the anti-Israel agenda, students fall in line and advocate for something they don’t understand.  “

Flahtery identifies as very good !

I read up a bit on him when Harris signed him. I was very happy with the signing. His story is interesting. He fell out of favor with a lot of the Cardinals fan base as he was apparently outspoken in favor of the BLM movement during the height of the national unrest.
I still think he’s got upside from here. Glad he’s a Tiger. His hero is Bob Gibson. Not a bad choice.
