  1. Didn’t Brad already kind of shoot down the idea of bringing in a big name at edge during his Combine interviews or presser?
  2. I'd be cool with it. It doesn't really seem their style, between DJ Chark, Josh Reynolds, and Tim Patrick, they seem to prefer a cheaper, short-term, lesser known, possibly injury prone option for WR3 as opposed to the Calvin Ridley, DeAndre Hopkins, OBJ types, of which I would put Adams. But I don't see a problem with it if they can afford it.
  3. I think Levi does on a one-year deal. He’s earned it after last year. He might test the market, but I have a hard time seeing anyone giving him a long-term deal. Less sure on Iffy. I’m sure they’ll make him a short-term offer too, but he might have more luck on the market and/or want to leave anyway. It’s a crowded defensive backfield as it is, between Kerby and Branch. Iffy is pigeon holed into a slot corner spot unless one of them gets hurt.
  4. Does Ohio State need a cornerback coach?
  5. FWIW RE Pearce: James Pearce Dropped Off Some Boards By Charlie Campbell
  6. Pick Cost for Hendon Hooker & Joe Milton By Charlie Campbell
  7. Both the Raiders and Giants would be the 2009-2020 Detroit Lions with Matt Stafford. If his goal is making another run, he's better off staying put.
  8. Successful day. I'll be in Section 131 Row 5 next season.
  9. Today is the most underrated important day of the year for Season Ticket Holders: Seat Relocation Day! Will I sit next to criminally insane people again next year? Will Ford Field construct a Tiger Stadium style pole directly in front of the seats I choose? Most importantly, when we win the NFC Championship next year, how far of a run will it be to take down the goal posts?
  10. I just want to know what "some semblance of an answer" means for a question that sounds like it would have a fully correct answer.
  11. Don’t think they won’t do Dallas if they think they can get away with it.
  12. If this was the audio heard on TV last night many more people would have enjoyed it. The audio feed was really bad and I couldn’t understand a word he was saying. Which made it a terrible performance.
  13. I think last night was as much an indictment on KC’s offensive line as it was an endorsement of Philly’s defensive line. As much as the broadcast was drooling over Fangio, when your players are just winning one-on-one battles, you’re going to have a good time. I think we see KC take a step back next year. Their defense will still be good, but the offense is one man, and he looked pretty human this year.
  14. I won’t be celebrating no matter the outcome. The douchiest coach of all time is winning right now, not to mention CJGJ.
  15. Lions-Eagles should have been for the Super Bowl. Chiefs have been overrated all year.
  16. 29-11 lead in SOG but down 4-3. Feels like the right decision by McLellon by pull Lyon.
  17. 30 goals for 30 years, it’s only right.
  18. Couple weeks to think on this one
  19. Happy Birthday to me! Go Wings!
  20. I agree. That would be a killer home schedule. Of course, the Lions were much better on the road this year than at home, 8-0 versus 7-3, so maybe it's a blessing in disguise. They haven't lost a regular season road game since Decker reported as eligible against Dallas.
  21. It's the only decent non-divisional home game too, don't take that from us! The Cowboys, Bucs, Browns, and Giants are the other four coming to Detroit. Yawn.
  22. I agree with this too. I think I take more of an agnostic lens to it, at least in the early stages. There’s four sides to these stories: the athlete’s, the victim’s, the media’s, and the truth. I don’t think I’m prepared enough for many of these cases to make a judgement on where the truth lies until a lot of it has already played out.
  23. I agree, and I am cynical too. Brandon McManus lost millions for alleged harassment that the NFL didn't find violated even its vague and amorphous personal conduct policy. Yet he settled that lawsuit for what I can only presume was a ton of money... On the extreme end of things, Trevor Bauer countersued his accuser after she made a false claim. She was recently charged with fraud and theft by extortion for her fake claims of sexual abuse she made against him. But, that being said, I think the system is setup in a way that encourages real victims to seek a money grab too. As you said, the criminal justice system isn't designed to "do good" for the victim, so why should the victim turn to the criminal justice system if the threat is now gone?
  24. The real secret is that criminal "justice" doesn't actually do anything good for victims. Get dragged through the mud on a he-said/she-said by million dollar defense attorneys, and that's if the prosecutor takes the case in the first place. All for what - probation? Multi-million dollar settlements and permanently scarring their reputation is worse to these athletes than settling a criminal trial. The burdens of proof also set the entire system up to make those money grabs easier than pursuing criminal charges.
