There is no reason to pardon Trump for anything.  I'm not a Republican Senator in a Republican state so I don't have the baggage that Romney has.

One thing he proposed that has the govies upset is a mandate that no Federal employee can do more than 40% telework.  My wife worries it will kill the fed's ability to compete for talent.   As a guy who can't do any of his work outside of the office it amuses me.  I do prefer she's home when i get home though.

I think your wife's concern about competition for talent is legit.   In my field it's already the case that they're at a disadvantage because they already pay significantly less than the subcontractors they hire.

I'm wondering what such a debate will even look like. Trump has no incentive to follow any rules, so what kinds of controls will be in place to stop him from simply yammering over Biden and shouting him down? How do they get Trump to agree to any decorum? Because if he acts out and gets completely out of control, and moderators can't or won't enforce any sanctions on him in the moment, then what's Biden's recourse? Shout back at Trump? Get in a fistfight with him? Walk off the stage? I feel as though any response along these lines would hurt Biden far more than Trump. I assume they've already game-planned this out enough that they can make the offer in the first place, but I'm having trouble seeing how the inevitable breakdown during the debate will benefit Biden.

This definitely seems a likely series of events but with that video it seems like the Biden campaign may be trying to get under his skin and get him to lose it.

  3. My understanding is that both days the defense tried to get the judge to declare a mistrial because of the **** she was saying esp in regards to details about them having sex and subtle references to it not being wanted sex on her part (DUH)., saying it was prejudicial to defendant.

The judge said no mistrial on that basis because the defense lawyers argued in their opening statement that they didn't have secks

The Magas are internetting pretty hard today to spin this as her as a complete liar.  This is a pretty significant wall that Trump wants to keep up to protect his support with the evangelicals who only listen to the friendliest news sources.

Which all goes to the point the prosecution is trying to make, which is that they didn't want all of this to come out before the election.
