A lot of business in the senate is conducted using unanimous consent to proceed. The Democrats definitely could grind the senate to a halt by not agreeing to unanimous consent. I didnt stay in a holiday inn express but have read multiple caro books about lbj in the senate.

Yes, it is. Michigan Public mentioned it several times this morning, they said it's 25% on Mexico and Canada, 10% on China, and apparently he's considering exempting oil from Canada to keep gas prices down. Of course, we all remember he said consumers don't pay tariffs which if true wouldn't need to exempt oil to keep gas prices down.
